12. Families have different customs, rituals or  cultural practices which are passed onto to their children and other family  members. Rituals and customs are social behaviors related to specific  cultures, and they are used to increase family bonds. Sometimes customs or  rituals can strengthen a family system or split it apart. For example, a  family might have a ritual where all their children attend church. If a  teenager refused because they are an atheist, it could cause a family to  divide. Describe an example of a family ritual or custom below, and example  how it could strengthen or divide a family.

15. A strength-based  approach is used frequently while working with clients in the HHS field. It  can be used with individual clients or with families experiencing challenges.  A strength-based approach involves identifying the strengths of an individual  or family and building upon them. Once strengths are identified, goals can be  set to help the client solve their problems or issues. For example, a client  who is negative (weakness) might be stuck in a cycle of drug abuse. The clients  can become more realistic (strength)  when they realize the negative impact their drug use has on their family.  Becoming more realistic about their situation can motivate them to obtain  sobriety from drugs.

Choose on area of weakness in the illustration below and explain how  you can build on the associated strength to help a client solve a problem.

300 Words – APA- Discussion Board – Due in 48 Hours

Talent acquisition and recruiting has changed over the last decade with new technology, online postings, phone applications, use of social media, etc. Some organizations spend more resources on recruiting new employees rather than retaining and developing current employees.

For this week’s discussion propose three strategies that could improve an organization’s employee talent acquisition process, thereby leading to a stronger workplace.

week iv pt 2a

For this assignment, you will evaluate the efforts undertaken by your community to identify hazards and risks. Conduct an Internet search for the local hazard mitigation plan, emergency operations plan, or even the general development plan that identifies hazards that your community faces. Your evaluation will be at the local government level—either municipal or county. Do not evaluate state-level efforts.

After you have completed your research, write a paper that addresses the components listed below.

  • Discuss the completeness of the plan in identifying hazards in your community.
  • Discuss how the hazard mitigation activities of various sectors support the whole community approach.
  • Evaluate the commitment of the community to keep the plan up-to-date.
  • Share what improvements you believe can be made to the plan and the roles that the government and private sectors may play in risk management.

If the plan is not available online, retrieve a copy from the person at the local government agency that is responsible for this requirement. You will cite this information in your paper.

Your paper must be at least two pages in length, not counting the title or reference pages. Your paper must adhere to APA format.

Functionality

With aging comes physiological, functional, and sensory changes. At times, these changes can manifest as a loss. Often, a loss of function may begin a so-called downward spiral in the life of an elderly person, affecting his or her independence and quality of life.

Imagine you are working with a client who is helping her parents explore their long-term care options. She has asked you to address the significance and validity of the above statement.

Write a 1,300 word response to your client that addresses the above statement. Include how the specific loss of function might affect one or more activities of daily living.

Use a minimum of 3 references to support your response.

Format your assignment according to APA guidelines.
