For this Capstone assignment, you will identify 5 legal and diversity factors that impact an organization. Then, you will create and present 5 strategies HR can implement, based on these factors that will increase productivity in the workplace.

Develop a well-written paper that addresses the following.

  • Examine employment regulations and policies that impact diversity in global organizations.
  • Identify 5 tools that will help you identify issues before they arise, in relation to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Propose 5 strategies that human resource professional can enact to create an inclusive culture in the organization.

Your paper should meet the following requirements:

  • Be 5-7 pages in length
  • Include at least three different scholarly sources not utilized previously

Leading and Managing the HR Project

 Continuing from the previous assignment, it is now important to consider  your approach to leading and managing your HR project. Tightly  structured projects tend to restrict cross-organizational communication.  As such, objectives originate at the top of the project and are  subdivided as they are passed down, resulting in little opportunity for  creative contributions. Effective leadership and managing of the project  can greatly improve communication and team contributions.

Business Strategy Formulation

    

This assignment is designed to familiarize you with the four business level strategies-low cost leadership, differentiation, best value, and focus before coming to class. Please read Chapter 5 in the textbook, review the lecture note, and do some preliminary research on these four business level strategies and analyze a hospitality business’ strategy. 

Specifically, please answer the following five questions: 

  1. Briefly describe the business-unit strategy of low-cost leadership;
     
  2. Briefly describe the business-unit strategy of differentiation;
     
  3. Briefly describe the business-unit strategy of best value;
     
  4. Briefly describe the business-unit strategy of focus; and
     
  5. Apply your understanding of the four business-level strategies to analyze a hospitality business that you worked at, are currently working/interning at, or are interested in working for after you graduate. What is its business strategy? What made you conclude that this hospitality business is employing this strategy?

Your paper should be written according to APA guidelines and include an abstract and cover-page with the assignment title, your name, date, university name, school name, course number, and professor (See figure 1 below). Your paper should be no less than 5 pages in length, double-spaced, 1-inch margins, Times New Roman, 12-point font, and include a reference page. There is no penalty for writing more than 5 pages. Instructions

Introduction: Throughout this course, you will be working on a staged project researching a public policy issue as identified in your project proposal. At this point, you are being asked to draft and submit components of your final Research Paper

Instructions: At this stage, you will submit a partial write-up of your final research paper. This draft should include the following components:

  1. Introduction, including the policy you are examining and its background and significance (one to three pages)
  2. A brief literature review on the subject (two to three pages)
  3. A description of your data collection methods (one to three pages)
  4. A bibliography of sources cited in the paper (one to two pages)

Additionally, on a separate page include a brief statement (about a page or less in length) summarizing your progress so far in collecting data and identifying any problems or concerns you may have at this point.

Submission: Your Draft Paper should be 5-11 pages (1,250-2,750 words) in length. Submit this as a Word document. Follow APA style guidelines. 

Leadership Paper

EXPOSITORY PAPER. You are to write an expository essay on a contemporary issue facing the Army in one of three category Leadership usingyour personal experience and at least three references (Wikipedia IS NOT an acceptable reference) to support your context. This paper must set forth an argument concerning your own experience, in one of those three categories, in a clear and concise manner; using correct grammar, sentence structure, and word usage. Provide a coherent transition from one topic to the next using transition sentences.

Unit 4: Pre-Term Paper

 

Introduction

Pre-Term Paper

The purpose of the Pre-Term Paper is to analyze the student’s preparation for the term paper assignment. The Pre-Term Paper will develop the basic framework for the final term paper and formatting and structure of the final paper. The project is due on Sunday of Unit 4. The assignment is worth 100 points.

The Organization that will be focus of the paper (Paper Topic) is due by Sunday of Unit 2.

Directions

Students are expected to complete an introduction paper based on the organization chosen for the final term paper (SUBMITTED IN WEEK 2). The paper will be based on the same topic as the final paper but is a complete paper on its own and must include all of the elements of a paper.

Assignment deliverable: A 1-3-page paper that includes the following:

  1. Overview of the Organization                                                                   
  2. Overview of the Organization’s Staffing Plan             
  3. Structure and APA Formatting                          

The paper must be in APA format and include at least two (2) sources.
