Exp19_Excel_Ch03_ML1_Airports

Exp19_Excel_Ch03_ML1_Airports

Project Description:

As an analyst for the airline industry, you track the number of passengers at the top six major U.S. airports: Atlanta (ATL), Chicago (ORD), Los Angeles (LAX), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Denver (DEN), and New York (JFK). You researched passenger data and created a worksheet that lists the number of total yearly passengers at the top six airports. To prepare for an upcoming meeting, you will create a clustered column chart to compare the number of passengers at each airport. Then, you will create a line chart that compares trends over time. Next, you will create a bar chart to compare the passenger count for the latest year of data available and then emphasize the airport with the largest number of passenger traffic. Finally, you want to insert sparklines to visually represent trends in passengers at each airport over the 10-year period.

Start   Excel. Download and open the file named Exp19_Excel_Ch03_ML1_Airports.xlsx. Grader has automatically added   your last name to the beginning of the filename.

You want to create a clustered   column chart to depict the passenger counts at the six airports over several   years.
Use Quick Analysis to create a clustered column chart for the range A4:L10.   Cut the chart and paste it in cell A15.

You want to customize the column   chart with a chart title, display the years as a data series, enlarge the chart   to be easier to read, and apply a chart style.
•Type Passengers   by Top U.S. Airports   as the chart title.
•Swap the data on the category axis and in the legend.
  •Set a 3.5″ height and 11.4″ width.
•Apply the Style 7 chart style.

The value axis takes up a lot of   space for the numbers. You will adjust the value axis to simplify it.
•Change the display units to Millions for the value axis.
•Edit the axis title to display Millions of Passengers.

You want to focus on the 2016 data   series by adding data labels.
Display data labels above the columns for the 2016 data series only.

Applying a fill color to the   chart area will make the chart visually appealing.
Apply the Light Gradient – Accent 2 preset gradient fill to the chart area.

A best practice is to add Alt   Text to a chart for accessibility compliance.
Add Alt Text: The chart displays the number of passengers in millions   for the top six airports from 2006 to 2016. (including the period).

When you change the workbook   theme, Excel applies that theme to the chart styles.
Change the workbook theme to Slice.

You want to create a bar chart   to display passenger counts for only one year.
Create a recommended clustered bar chart for the range A5:A10 and L5:L10 and move   the chart to a chart sheet named Bar Chart.

You want to customize the bar   chart.
•Change the chart color to Colorful Palette 3.
•Enter Passengers   at Top 6 U.S. Airports in 2016 as the chart title.
•Apply the Style 5 chart style.
•Add Alt Text: The bar chart shows passengers at Top 6 U.S. Airports   in 2016. Atlanta had the most passengers. (including the period).

Modifying the axes will improve   readability of the bar chart.
•Change the font size to 10 for the category axis and value axis.
•Change the value axis Maximum Bound to 1.1E8.

You will format a data point so   that it stands out and then add gridlines to enhance readability in the bar   chart.
•Format the Atlanta data point with Dark Blue, Text 2 fill color.
  •Add Primary Minor Vertical gridlines.

A line chart effectively shows   trends over time for the passenger counts at the different airports.
Create a line chart using the range A4:L10 in the Passenger worksheet and   move the chart to a chart sheet named Line Chart. Add a chart title Passengers   at U.S. Airports 2006-2016 and bold the title.

You want to customize the line   chart.
•Set the Minimum Bound at 4.0E7 for the value axis. The Maximum Bound should change to 1.1E8   automatically.
•Set the Vertical (Value) Axis Display units to Millions. Delete the Vertical   (Value) Axis Display Units Label from the upper-left corner of the chart. Add   a value axis title In Millions.
•Change the font size to 10 for the value axis and category axis.
•Move the legend to the top.
•Filter the chart by deselecting the odd-numbered years.
•Add Alt Text: The line chart displays trends for top six U.S.   airports from 2006 to 2016 at two-year intervals. (including the period).

dark web

Write a brief paper on the following topics: What is the Dark Web? How is it accessed? How is it used by criminals? How can it be used in a positive way? How can be used by law enforcement and the intelligence services. How can be used by private individuals. 250 words is fine

Network Defense System

It is essential to have a basic understanding of network defense topologies in order to properly comprehend the defensive strategies deployed by companies to protect their information assets.

Use the Cisco Packet Tracer application to create a network diagram that makes use of the following devices listed below, which belong to Company X. The diagram should illustrate your knowledge of network defense by placing network assets in their proper location, so as to ensure their protection. Include, within the diagram, any small office/home office (SOHO) solutions that will be used to protect either the infrastructure or end-user devices.

Within the diagram make sure to include at a minimum:

  1. 10 mobile devices (phones/laptops/tablets)
  2. Five desktop/stationary computers
  3. Two servers (file/email)
  4. One printer
  5. One router/firewall
  6. One WAN/gateway connection
  7. One switch
  8. One corresponding backup/replication asset for disaster recovery (local or remote storage/server)

Note: Any IP addresses used should be labeled next to the corresponding device.

Then, create a report outlining the abilities of the network topology in reference to securing network devices and other information assets used by Company X. Make sure to address the following within the report:

  1. A detailed explanation of the topology design addressing the “why” and “how” of the topology defenses solution and design, specifically threat models, motivations (such as insider threat), and ideologies
  2. Network defense solution list (i.e., software/hardware used to protect information assets)
  3. Encryption policies used by the network and end-users
  4. Disaster plan recovery, including restoration plans

Objective

Objective:
Review file streams and sorting (or learn this if you haven’t in 22A)
Learn about vectors (if you haven’t in 22A), string streams and sort
Assignment: Write a program that reads a text file containing a set of test scores. Each line in the file contains scores of a specific student. For example, the first line has the scores for the first student and so forth. Average the scores for each student and save them in a vector of final scores. Then sort the final scores to calculate the class average and median. Print the final scores sorted from least to greatest, the class average and median. Detailed set of requirements: File processing:
Program should try to open a file using a default file path first, then check if it was successful, if not, ask the user for a different file name/path and try again until it succeeds. Do not try to process a file that you could not open. Remember to close the file when done reading.
To make sure you process each student’s scores separately, read each line from the file using the getline function. You can find an example on how to use getline here: http://www.cplusplus.com/forum… (Links to an external site.) Links to an external site.
Convert each line, which should be a string, to a string stream, so it can be used as a source for the individual test scores:
stringstream lineStream(line) // line is the string read from the file.
Read the individual scores from the lineStream variable as you would from an ifstream.
Store all final scores in a vector (not an array!).
To add values to a vector, use function push_back.
Sort the data using the sort function (you will need this for the median)
Refer to http://www.cplusplus.com/refer… (Links to an external site.)

Links to an external site. to learn how to use sort.
Calculate the average and median of the values in the vector.
Average is calculated by adding all data points then dividing by the number of data points.
Median is the data point in the middle after you have sorted them. If there is an odd number of data points, there will be only one in the middle. If there is an even number of data points, the median is the average of the two in the middle. Your algorithm must work for both cases.
Define separate functions to calculate and return average and median.
Define a separate function to print the required info on the screen:
This function should receive the vector, the average and median as parameters.
Use a range-based for loop to print the scores in the vector.
Do not use global variables!
Document your source code following the guidelines:

Why Adjustable Computer Desks are a better choice for Offices?

Office desks are designed to be a sedentary environment. However, there are many benefits of standing desks that make them better for your health. Standing desks can help reduce obesity and diabetes by improving metabolic rates. They also provide better posture which reduces the risk of neck and back pain Additionally, they improve focus by providing more natural movement which can lead to increased productivity.

An adjustable computer desk is a versatile furniture that can be used in various ways to promote the health and wellbeing of both employees and office visitors.

The New York Times published an article about how “participants burned an average of 4.2 calories per minute when they were standing on a curved computer desk while working, compared to 2.9 calories per minute when they were seated.” This means that if you’re looking for some extra motivation to get your work done, stand up while you’re working on your adjustable computer desk!

Adjustable computer desks are the perfect solution for anyone who wants to keep active while working. A study found that people who work on an adjustable computer desk burn off more calories than those who work on a traditional desk. They also found that the participants were more likely to stand up and move around or walk around their office during their day.

With the increase in weight these days, many people are looking for ways to burn calories without having to exercise. One way is by standing on an adjustable computer desk. Sitting all day long at a desk can lead to health problems like heart disease, obesity, and diabetes. Standing desks are becoming more popular in offices nowadays, but many don’t know that adjustable computer desks are better than standing desks.

Adjustable computer desks allow you to sit or stand while working or playing games on your PC. Adjustable computer desks also give you the option of using a chair when your feet need a break. Many people have trouble focusing on what they are working on due to physical discomfort. Adjustable desks can be an easy solution to this by allowing the user to adjust the height, position, and even the distance of their monitor. This is because it’s likely that an adjustable desk will better accommodate your physical needs specifically.
