A three-tier web application architecture has been generically defined as the presentation, business logic, and data storage tiers. However, Amazon Web Services defines the three-tier web application architecture as the web, application, and storage/database tiers.

1-3 Final Project Review and Topic Submission

 The final project for this course is the creation of an information technology incident report. The rubric (Topic) attached covers the topic, while the “Final Rubric” covers the actual final project broken down in modules. The project is broken down into 3 modules.  The person chosen will come up with a topic for this specific question and I will work with them throughout the remaining modules.  Willing to pay $10 just to come up with a topic that will be used for the remaining modules and final.

Step 3: complete a report based on your understanding of the Quality Data Model (QDM).

Download and read a document on Quality Data Model (QDM). Focus your reading on sections 1.1-1.5, and 2.1 – 2.8.

Tasks: Write a report that contains your answer to the following questions:

1. Why a quality data model is needed? Explain QDM’s importance in healthcare information system using examples you have seen or discussed in this Module’s required readings. (10 points)

2. Figure 1 in section 2.5 shows an example QDM element structure on the left. The diagram to the right is an example of QDM element called “Laboratory Test”. Suppose you are member of an interprofessional team working a quality health database project for a hospital. Explain how you would design a database table to store data containing in the ODM element “Laboratory Test”. For example, what is the name of this table? What are the columns to include in this table? (10 points)

3. Suppose the same database contains other tables describing ODM elements such as Doctor, Patient, Medication, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Company, etc. Describe ONE scenario where you can use this database to address questions related to QDM element “Laboratory Test”.  (40 points)

Quality of Service (QoS) is significant because it allows the user to prioritize tasks completed over a wireless network. When working with wireless networks, you must consider what is important when designing QoS. In this assignment, students will gain experience on how to conduct QoS in a wireless network. Refer to the topic readings, as well as your own additional research on QoS, for successful completion of this assignment.
