  2. Introduction: State the objective of the case studies, and provide some background information.
  3. Network Design: Summarize the background for Case Study I. Provide a diagram of your network and the class diagram. Describe in detail the research/changes/suggestions.
  4. Security Implementation: Summarize the background for Case Study II.  Discuss the strategies you proposed for securing your network as well as any added to the class network.
  5. Hacking: Summarize the background for Case Study III. Discuss the methods you suggested to test the security strength of your network  (i.e., attempt to hack into your network) as well as any added to the class network.
  6. Results and Discussion: Discuss overall results of the final network and any additional insights and information related to your findings.

Name the three essential elements of a basic structured cabling network? How are they installed and what are the components that are involved with them?

Search the peer-reviewed literature to identify its potential impact on networking and what measures can be put in place to minimize the effect.

Assignment

FORENSIC DESIGN ASSESSMENTS

This task relates to a sequence of assessments that will be repeated across Chapters 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. Select any example of a visualisation or infographic, maybe your own work or that of others. The task is to undertake a deep, detailed ‘forensic’ like assessment of the design choices made across each of the five layers of the chosen visualisation’s anatomy. In each case your assessment is only concerned with one design layer at a time.

For this task, take a close look at the data representation choices:

  1. Start by identifying all the charts and their types
  2. How suitable do you think the chart type choice(s) are to display the data? If they are not, what do you think they should have been?
  3. Are the marks and, especially, the attributes appropriately assigned and accurately portrayed?
  4. Go through the set of ‘Influencing factors’ from the latter section of the book’s chapter to help shape your assessment and to possibly inform how you might tackle this design layer differently
  5. Are there any data values/statistics presented in table/raw form that maybe could have benefited from a more visual representation?

Research paper

In this assignment you are going to read the following research paper: “A Turing Test for Computer Game Bots”. Then, please answer the following questions: 1. Summarize the following paper. Your summary should be 1 to 2 pages long and should cover the following parts: a. The problem and its importance. b. General description of the proposed solution. c. The experiments conducted. d. The results achieved. e. Did you find this article interesting? Please justify your answer. f. What is your critique on this paper? 2. Using the web, read then write about: a. The Turing Test: what is its purpose, and its importance. Then, give a detailed description of this test. b. The ELIZA chatbot, then briefly explain how ELIZA is related to the Turing Test. c. The Chinese Room argument, then briefly explain how it is related to the Turing Test. Please be careful about plagiarism, and that you do not copy somebody else’s text. There are no constraints on the format of the paper, just make sure that each question can be uniquely identified. The maximum page limit is 4. Research project on why organizations should implement Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), how it is effective, challenges, solutions and one real organization where ERM is applied?

Risk management is one of the most important components in  empowering an organization to achieve its ultimate vision. With proper  risk management culture and knowledge, team members will be “speaking”  the same language, and they will leverage common analytical abilities to  identify and mitigate potential risks as well as exploit opportunities  in a timely fashion. In order to consolidate efforts, the existence of  an integrated framework is crucial. This is why an ERM is necessary to  the fulfillment of any organization’s goals and objectives.

In your final research project for the course, your task is to write a 7-10 page paper discussing the following concepts:

  • Introduction
  • Why should an organization Implement an ERM application?
  • What are some key challenges and solutions to Implementing an ERM?
  • What is Important for an effective ERM?
  • Discuss at least one real organization that has been effective with implementing an ERM framework or /application.
  • Conclusion, final thoughts for future research
  • Recommendation

Your paper should meet the following requirements:

  • Be approximately seven to ten pages in length, not including the required cover page and reference page.
  • Follow APA7 guidelines. Your paper should include an introduction, a body with fully developed content, and a conclusion.
  • Support your answers with the readings from the course, the course  textbook, and at least ten scholarly journal articles to support your  positions, claims, and observations, in addition to your textbook. The  UC Library is a great place to find supplemental resources.
  • Be clearly and well-written, concise, and logical, using excellent  grammar and style techniques. You are being graded in part on the  quality of your writing.
