IT IS A REPLY TO THE BELOW STATEMENT-ONE PAGE ONE REFERENCE:

Nurses have been considered to have lower engagement in policy making. However, there are some opportunities that if the RNs and APRNs consider, they may improve their activeness in policy making processes within the healthcare organizations. One of these opportunities include the existence of professional nursing organizations. As conferred by Milstead & Short (2019), professional organizations such as American Nursing Association can help the RNs and APRNs to help them understand how they can actively engage in various policy making. Such organizations help nurses to determine whether a given policy being implemented is effective and efficient in addressing some of the major challenges that may be affecting a given population or the nurses themselves. Another opportunity available to the nurses is their roles and responsibilities within the workplace. Considering the major role of RNs and APRNs, which is promotion of quality healthcare, nurses can utilize this opportunity to ensure that they engage in policy making processes as supported by Milstead & Short (2019).

9/3-1

Create a professional presentation of your evidence-based intervention and change proposal to be disseminated to an interprofessional audience of leaders and stakeholders. Include the intervention, evidence-based literature, objectives, resources needed, anticipated measurable outcomes, and how the intervention would be evaluated.

Ethics in Professional Nursing Practice

New nurses have not necessarily developed their own professional boundaries when they begin practice. They may violate a boundary without even knowing they crossed it (Maes, 2003). What signs might alert you to a potential professional boundary violation or crossing?

Assignment: Discussion Board Week 2- Discussion of which model you prefer, due by 11:59pm (50 pts).

Discussions play an integral role in monitoring your course participation throughout the term. You should check back to the weekly discussions multiple times throughout the week to engage in the discussion with your professor and peers. Participation is only counted during the week in which this discussion is assigned. Be sure to appropriately cite any sources you use to support your responses with standard APA citations. Answer the prompt question(s) thoroughly using a minimum of 150-200 words and respond to as many of your peers as possible – note that responses of 75-100 words to 2 of your peers are required for full credit. Be sure to answer any additional questions asked by your professor in the discussion threads. Your initial post is due by Day 3 (Friday) of the current week, and follow up posts to your peers are due on Day 7 (Tuesday).

Discussion Prompt:

  1. Please discuss/include the following in a minimum of 150-200 words for your initial post:
  • Of the styles of leadership you learned about in the resources thus far in our course, choose one that you find most successful or appealing and share the following information with your peers:
    • Which style or approach did you choose and why do you think it is the most appealing to you?
    • To support your choice, share an example of a time when you or someone else used this style of leadership and it was helpful to others.

Discussion Topic-Ch 9

Read Chapter 9

1. Try taking a different route to class the next time it meets. Before you do this, think about how many changes, large and small, you will have to make to do this.

a-Will you have to leave earlier to be in class on time?

b-Will you meet different people on your way to class?

c-See different sights?

d-Would you change your route to class on the day of the final exam?

e-Why or why not? Summarize the positives and negatives of this small change. Relate your responses to this change to the way staff nurses feel when an administrator makes what he or she thinks is a “minor” change.

2. Think about a change that has occurred in your life. Some examples may be a change of role, a move, a marriage, a birth, a divorce, or a death.

a-How did you react to the change?

b-Would you have reacted differently if you had had more information?

c-Using Lewin’s model, describe the basic elements in the situation and how you eventually achieved a comfortable outcome.

An understanding of the factors surrounding women’s and men’s health, infections, and hematologic disorders can be critically important to disease diagnosis and treatment in these areas. This importance is magnified by the fact that some diseases and disorders manifest differently based on the sex of the patient.

Effective disease analysis often requires an understanding that goes beyond the human systems involved. The impact of patient characteristics, as well as racial and ethnic variables, can also have an important impact..

An understanding of the symptoms of alterations in systems based on these characteristics is a critical step in diagnosis and treatment of many diseases. For APRNs, this understanding can also help educate patients and guide them through their treatment plans.

In this Assignment, you examine a case study and analyze the symptoms presented. You identify the elements that may be factors in the diagnosis, and you explain the implications to patient health.

Assignment ( 2-pages case study analysis)

In your Case Study Analysis related to the scenario provided, explain the following:

  • The factors that affect      fertility (STDs).
  • Why inflammatory markers      rise in STD/PID.
  • Why prostatitis and      infection happens. Also explain the causes of systemic reaction.
  • Why a patient would need a      splenectomy after a diagnosis of ITP.
  • Anemia and the different      kinds of anemia (i.e., micro and macrocytic).

Discussion Question

1- Discussion Question: Read a qualitative nursing study. If a different investigator had gone into the field to study the same problem, how likely is it that the conclusions would have been the same? How transferable are the research findings?
