What types of advocacy exist for nurses today?  Certainly we can see how there are many ways and different groups to advocate for as a nurse. 

Definition of Advocate:

1. Defends or promotes the rights of others.
2. Changes systems to meet the needs of others.
3. Empowers and promotes self-determination in others.
4. Promotes autonomy of diverse cultures.
5. Ensures respect, equality, and dignity for others.
6. Cares for the humanness of all.

Instructions:

1. Examine the term advocate as defined above, and think of how advocacy can be demonstrated in everyday practice.
2. Select at least three (3) of the factors that make up the definition and give a very specific explanation of how you or someone you know has demonstrated they were/are an advocate. 
3. Your paper should be:
   • Typed according to APA style for margins, formatting and spacing standards
   • Typed into a Microsoft Word document 

Unfortunately, it’s a research paper and not an academic essay addressing the various aspects of an issue in controversy.  It would help if you thought about why COVID-19 is so controversial and contentious and frame a thesis that addresses this topic.  You can then use all of this excellent research to support the thesis.  I’ve suggested a possible direction to take in my comments on your paper; take a look at this and see if it helps you re-direct this essay to meet the assignment’s expectations.

Please let me know if you have questions.  This is a fine topic, and your research is excellent; you need to reframe it in the context of controversy, however, and not just produce a summary of the recent research.  Do you see the difference?

The term closing for projects is a misnomer. Many times, the PM and/or the team were the champions of the change and you drove the passion and motivation. Far too many amazing projects revert back to the prior status quo not long after the PM team has moved onto their next project. Just because you and your team have done a great job in planning and executing the project and it was running well when you left, doesn’t mean that you can just assume it will continue successfully. How do we sustain the practice change that we sought to make? When you’re gone and onto your next project, what will happen to the one you just closed?
