Installing an Open-Source Application

Read Chapter 5, up to and including Exercise 5.2 (Installing 7-Zip). Complete Exercise 5.2 by going to the website, selecting the correct download for your platform, and installing the 7-Zip application. As you are installing it, notice the End User License Agreement (EULA). Explain your experience in selecting the correct file to download and your platform requirements. Discuss the EULA, and when it prevented you from installing the software, what it said; what are your impressions of the agreement? Why did the creators of this application choose this delivery model for their application? How much money do they make per download?

Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGs)

In a virtual world (VW) of massively multiplayer online  role-playing games (MMORPGs), collaboration and communication are  provided through the Internet between MMORPG-ready devices such as the  Microsoft Xbox, and Sony PlayStation, and by using the Web browser.  Gamers around the world can play against other gamers without seeing  their opponent face-to-face. The Internet and MMORPG devices have become  a social phenomenon. For example, a mobile game called “Game of War”  enables players to play against each other anywhere around the world.  Other diversions include Second Life which isn’t really a game at all,  but rather just that, another life people can live online through their  online persona. 

Before you begin this assignment, engage in an online game or  experience such as Game of War, Second Life, or Words With Friends,  which has a phone app you can download free or play from your computer  on the Internet or even as a Facebook app. It can be any game where you  are playing against a live person over the Web. If you have difficulty  finding an online multiplayer game, reach out to your instructor for  guidance.

Write a paper with screenshots from your experience in which you  complete the items below. Be sure to include what your choice was in the  introduction paragraph. Although there is not a specific page length,  you should fully explore and answer the questions asked. Typically you  will have two or three paragraphs with your main point supported by a  few sentences of fact for each. 4. Outline and describe the user interface requirements that a  game designer needs to include in order to engage players in an MMORPG  environment.

Image Captioning ( Use Python Jupyter Notebook )

Image Captioning is the process of generating textual description of an image. It uses both Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision to generate the captions. The dataset will be in the form [image → captions]. The dataset consists of input images and their corresponding output captions.

Pickle file contains the image id and the text associated with the image.

Each image can have multiple captions.

Model Building

Use Pretrained Resnet-50 model trained on ImageNet dataset (available publicly on google) for image feature extraction.

Create 5 layered LSTM layer model and other relevant layers for image caption generation.

Add L1 regularization to all the LSTM layers. 

Add one layer of dropout at the appropriate position and give reasons. 

Choose the appropriate activation function for all the layers. 

Print the model summary. 

Model Compilation

Compile the model with the appropriate loss function. 

Use an appropriate optimizer. Give reasons for the choice of learning rate and its value.

Model Training

Train the model for an appropriate number of epochs. Print the train and validation loss for each epoch. Use the appropriate batch size. 

Plot the loss and accuracy history graphs for both train and validation set. Print the total time taken for training.

Take a random image from google and generate caption for that image.

For this project, you will create a proposal to migrate a critical business function to the cloud at an organization you are familiar with or can easily research. 

Select an organization that you can research that has an on-premises business function that you believe will benefit from a migration to cloud computing. This paper must be entirely original content and checked with grammarly.com before submitting. The paper should include the following sections. Each must be called out with a heading.

· Company Overview:  The section should include the company name, the industry they are in, and a general overview of the organization.

· The On-Premises Function. Discuss the current application or functional domain that you are proposing for a move to the cloud. For example, an inventory management system or the organization’s email platform. Why will this benefit from cloud migration?

· The Proposed Cloud Solution:  Describe your proposal for moving the function to the cloud. Be specific and detailed. Would you use SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS services? Which service provider would you use? What timeline do you propose? Include as much detail as possible. This portion should be 1-2 pages.

· Conclusion:  Summarize the most important ideas from the paper and make recommendations on how they might achieve even greater success.    

This paper should not be a cursory overview. This class has a technical focus and should focus on the proposal of the technical solution. It should detail what is being moved to the cloud, what cloud services will be used, and what the predicted benefits are. It is a persuasive paper trying to convince the organizational leadership to approve a project to move a function to the cloud, not an analysis of an organization that has already done so.
Do not write about Amazon, Azure, Google, Apple, IBM, or other cloud providers. You may not use Netflix, Xerox, Fitbit as a topic organization for this paper.
