Exercise 1: Investigate pollution patterns with space-time analysis

Elevated levels of fine particulate matter pollution are associated with premature death and increased risk of cardiovascular and pulmonary disease and cost the global economy over 225 billion U.S. dollars in lost labor annually. The patterns of pollution are not uniform globally, and the pollution levels may be overreported in some locations but underreported in others.

In this lesson, you’ll explore global differences in pollution patterns in space and time to find areas with extreme or unusual pollution patterns. You’ll convert between different temporal data structures, apply space-time analysis to time series data, and use charts and 3D visualization to understand your results. Consider the application characteristics and requirements when building your project plan. For example, the app will require a search feature so employees can search for available programs, will require security to protect personal information, etc., which will help with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Note: This information will be helpful in the Week 2 – Apply: Work Breakdown Structure assignment.

Read the 2 linked examples of project plans implemented as Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheets: Example Plan A and Example Plan B. Use these as guides in creating your own draft project plan (DO NOT SUBMIT THE SAME TASKS!). Notice the differences between these 2 examples in terms of length (overall and task length), the structure of the work breakdown (iterative vs. non-iterative), and methodology.

It should detail moving to the cloud, what cloud services will  be used, and what the predicted benefits are. This is a persuasive  paper trying to convince the organizational leadership to approve a  well-defined project to move a function to the cloud. This paper is not  an analysis of an organization that has already done so. Do not write  about Amazon, Azure, Google, Apple, IBM, or other cloud providers. You  may not use Netflix, Xerox, and Fitbit as a topic organization for this  paper.
