Cellular network

Base on the reading assignment, your experience, and personal research, please  answer the following questions:

  • Thoroughly explain the Base Station Controller (BSC) as it relates to a cellular network?
  • What is a Mobile Equipment Identifier (MEID) and what is it used for?
  • As an examiner, why is it important for you to understand how a call is routed through the cellular network?
  • What is the significance of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA)?
  • List and explain three components of a SIM file system

Post your main response to the question (400 words minimum).

Create Two Flow-Charts

Use the information below to solve each problem using flowchart symbols to illustrate how you would complete your program. You may use Microsoft PowerPoint® or Microsoft Word ® for your flowchart.

  • Problem 1: Build a flowchart to solve a simple payroll calculation. Calculate the amount of pay, given hours worked, and hourly rate. (The formula to calculate payroll is pay = hourly rate * hours worked.) Display hourly rate, hours worked, and pay. ( Do not add any feature such as overtime, bonus, taxes, insurance, … )
  • Problem 2: Build a flowchart that will calculate the average miles per gallon obtained on a trip. Input the amount of gas used and the number of miles driven. (The formula to calculate miles per gallon is miles per gallon = number of miles driven / amount of gas used. ) Display gas used, miles driven and MPG.

IT management

For the week 3 assignment, write a two page paper in APA format on the topic you chose in class or are assigned, see below. You will also add your assignment 3 as your discussion 4 and comment on two other student posts.

Give a description of the topic and explain how a business uses the technology to improve it’s processes to become more competitive, grow market share,  develop new markets, increase revenue, reduce costs and increase profits. How do businesses use the technology for forecasting market trends, understand customer preferences? Add photos or a video of the system dashboard, if available to illustrate the technology. Include links to the dashboard and references.

preemptive scheduling

We have been assuming in chapter 3 that preemption incurs no over head. Let us now relax this assumption. Consider a 2 task system. Preemption overhead is x. Given e1 , e2 , P1 , P2 , obtain the maximum value of x for which the two tasks are RM schedulable. Note: e1, e2 are execution times. P1, P2 are periods.

1. What is an artificial neural network and for what types

of problems can it be used?

2. Compare artificial and biological neural networks. What

aspects of biological networks are not mimicked by artificial

ones? What aspects are similar?

3. What are the most common ANN architectures? For

what types of problems can they be used?

4. ANN can be used for both supervised and unsupervised

learning. Explain how they learn in a supervised mode

and in an unsupervised mode.
5. Go to Google Scholar (scholar.google.com). Conduct

a search to find two papers written in the last five years

that compare and contrast multiple machine-learning

methods for a given problem domain. Observe commonalities

and differences among their findings and

prepare a report to summarize your understanding.
6.Go to neuroshell.com. Look at Gee Whiz examples.

Comment on the feasibility of achieving the results

claimed by the developers of this neural network model.
