Research Paper: Business Process Redesign

If you have you been involved with a company doing a redesign of business processes, discuss what went right during the redesign and what went wrong from your perspective. Additionally, provide a discussion on what could have been done better to minimize the risk of failure. If you have not yet been involved with a business process redesign, research a company that has recently completed one and discuss what went wrong, what went right, and how the company could have done a better job minimizing the risk of failure.

Your paper should meet the following requirements:

• Be approximately 4-6 pages in length, not including the required cover page and reference page.

• Follow APA7 guidelines. Your paper should include an introduction, a body with fully developed content, and a conclusion.

• Support your answers with the readings from the course and at least two scholarly journal articles to support your positions, claims, and observations, in addition to your textbook. The UC Library is a great place to find resources.

• Be clearly and well-written, concise, and logical, using excellent grammar and style techniques. You are being graded in part on the quality of your writing.

Data visualization

According to Kirk (2016), The essence of “Formulating Your Brief” is to “identify the context in which your work will be undertaken and then define its aims: it is the who, what, where, when and how.” It could be formal or informal as any project you think you must make it. This phase is where you create a vision for your work.

The reading this week discusses strategy and how ERM can be integrated with an organization’s overall strategy. Prepare a research paper on some of the various issues, protocols, methods, frameworks you found and discuss how – if possible – organizations can use ERM as strategy. It is perfectly acceptable if you deem ERM cannot be used as strategy, just back up your claim with scholarly research and justifications.

Creating website using infinity free(I will provide the username and password)

Create web pages for your database using PHP. You should have one page that will return all the information from the database. You should create additional pages that will allow you to do various queries of your database. You should be able to retrieve and insert data; also include functionality to delete data from your database. I will be looking for these features. Feel free to handle those functions however you feel is best for your project. 

Create an html form that will allow you to enter in new information for the database. The information should be handled by a PHP script that will take the data and input it into the database. 

The interface doesn’t have to look real pretty at this point. That will be done in the next phase. If you want to go ahead and make things look nice, feel free to do so.

If you have not yet created a home page, create a separate home page that contains links to each of the web pages you create to access your database.  Your database (must have a minimum of two tables) is not to be displayed on the home page; be creative on this page.   On each of the database pages create a button (link) to go back to the home page. Your project must have more than one page; your home page should have links to other pages to perform operations on the database.  Some appropriate picture or image should be on the home page that relates to you project.  Make your project look as professional as possible.  You may want to show it during a interview.

Create a text file in which to store hyperlinks to your home page and PHP scripts.  Turn in this file to the appropriate submission box.

Your assignment is to download (if necesary) and experiment with two different Web HTML Editors.  Search YouTube for any available 

tutorials on how to use the software.  For each editor, create a page with a table, image, lists, and cascading style sheet.   

Include the name of the editor in the comments in the HTML file.  Feel free to also include any other features you find interesting.  

Create a short write up containing information about your reaction to using each program.  Did  you like it?  What features did you like?  

What features did you not like or felt could have been better?  If you prefer, you can include this information inside the pages 

(display it when the file is opened with a browser) that you create using the programs.  Do this process for two different HTML Web Editor programs.   

Do not submit the exact same code for each editor.  The HTML file for each editor must be different.  Submit the pages you created along with the write ups 

(If separate documents) to the correct submission box.  Be sure to submit this assignment in a zip file.

Final Project

Overview:

In the meeting with your executives, your CEO announced that you would need to

prepare a PowerPoint presentation of your department achievements for the last quarter

and present it in front of the hospital’s board of trustees who will be visiting your hospital

by the end of the month.

Instructions:

Based on that information, your IT Director asked you to prepare a 12-15-page

PowerPoint presentation which will take a fifteen-minute time slot where you discuss the

following:

• As you have opted for Windows-based computers, what are the significant

differences between a Mac and a Windows-based computer?

• What are the main differences between the leading operating systems: Windows,

Mac OS, and Linux?

• What are the measures that you are taking to keep computers safe and to avoid

 This week we explored the concept of Tokenization.  Three important protocols discussed were Secure Multi-Party Computation (SMPC), Policy-Backed Token (PBT) and Open Asset Protocol (OAP).  Compare and contrast these three protocols and explain which industries can benefit the most from each of these protocols.
