 We all had the unfortunate experience of seeing how computers can, at times, make life’s journey about more difficult. This is especially true in knowledge centric workplaces. Describe an example of a very poorly implemented database that you’ve encountered (or read about) that illustrates the potential for really messing things up. Include, in your description, an analysis of what might have caused the problems and potential solutions to them. Be sure to provide supporting evidence, with citations from the literature. 

Read the case study “Communication Failures” starting on page 329-331 and answer the below questions.

• Problem 1: Build a flowchart to solve a simple payroll calculation. Calculate the amount of pay, given hours worked, and hourly rate. (The formula to calculate payroll is pay = hourly rate * hours worked.) Display hourly rate, hours worked, and pay. ( Do not add any feature such as overtime, bonus, taxes, insurance, … )
• Problem 2: Build a flowchart that will calculate the average miles per gallon obtained on a trip. Input the amount of gas used and the number of miles driven. (The formula to calculate miles per gallon is miles per gallon = number of miles driven / amount of gas used. ) Display gas used, miles driven and MPG.

 Write a short summary of the analytical steps needed to work on the final case analysis. Run basic exploratory data analysis (EDA) on the data given to you and submit R-Markdown file. Write about the types of data cleaning needed before moving to the next steps of analysis

 Step 2: Join the files for the final case analysis and submit the final combined file in the csv format 

discusses the topic of recovering data.  For this week’s assignment, choose one of these tools for recovering deleted data or files.  Experiment with installing it…deleting something and trying to recovering it using the tool.  Then, write what you have learned and experience during this process.  Provide screen shots.  Was the process of recovering successful or not successful?  Have fun with this assignment! 🙂  

1. Contingency Planning
   Contingency planning is a risk mitigation process for developing back-up plans in anticipation of events (scenarios) that might disrupt ‘business as usual’.    (2) Questions to consider when implementing scenario planning.
   (3) The common types of scenario planning.
