Human services professionals contribute to addressing societal issues; to do so, they might review the literature to explore recommendations others have made. These recommendations might be based on experience and/or research. Once possible recommendations have been identified, it is important to consider any potential ethical challenges that might arise in addressing the issue by following the recommendations.

To prepare:

• Select a societal issue that detracts from the mental health and welfare of society members anywhere in the world.
• Identify at least two recommendations that leading scholars and/or practitioners have made for resolving the societal issue you selected, and reflect on the ethical challenges that might emerge if the recommendations were implemented.

With these thoughts in mind:

By Day 4

Post a brief description of the societal issue you selected, and describe two recommendations experts have made for resolving this societal issue. Then, identify two ethical challenges that might arise when following these recommendations. Finally, explain how you might address those ethical challenges. Be specific, and reference a professional code of ethics to support your response. Please be certain to include references and clearly identify the experts and type of expertise for the individuals you have selected.

Create a project for your organization. 

Prepare a 7 page APA formatted project management plan that details a plan of action to delegate responsibilities in each phase of the project management life-cycle. Ensure that you focus on planning, organizing, leading, and controlling.

• The section of this paper will be 7 pages, APA formatted, and include 7-10 references.
• You will use  7-10 sources for the project. Only one of these sources can be a company website.
• Do not reference wikis, about.com, or other search engines that answer the question for you.
• Do not include your references in the required length word-count.
• Remember to include the title page, headings, and conclusion.

Think about your community and imagine you were a member of the local council. If you were hiring a new emergency manager for your community, what are some of the qualities that you would look for when seeking a candidate? What are some of the qualities that you would consider regarding adaptive leadership, the position, and the community?

In this week’s Discussion, you explored challenges related to workplace diversity, such as gender inequality, negative stereotypes, and discrimination. In this Application, you will expand on your exploration of this topic by also considering benefits of workplace diversity and best practices for helping organizations embrace diversity and promote multiculturalism.

• Think about specific strategies and best practices you would use to address the challenges you identified and help organizations embrace diversity and promote multiculturalism.

By Day 7 of Week 11

Submit a 3–4-page paper that addresses the following questions. Your paper should follow APA style, be double-spaced with one-inch margins, and include a title page and reference list.

• Explain at least two benefits and two challenges related to workforce diversity. Be sure that the challenges are different from the one that you addressed in this week’s Discussion
• Describe strategies that an I/O practitioner could use to address the challenges and why each strategy would be effective. Be sure to use evidence from the literature to support your points.
• If you were hired as a Change Management consultant, explain how you would help an organization embrace diversity and promote multiculturalism. Include at least three best practices that you would suggest.

1. Describe the recruitment process and the selection process your organization uses.
2. Indicate the internal and external recruiting sources they use and how effective you consider them.
3. Discuss which challenges affect the organization’s ability to recruit qualified employees.
4. Present recommendations to improve the recruitment and selection processes (one per process) of your organization.

Respond to classmate initial post. 275 words, 

First of all — DO NOT just write “yep, I agree” — that’s not helpful.

Be very careful with phrases that mean “I feel” — feelings are real, and usually based on something — so, when you start with “I feel” — continue with “because …..” Chances are pretty good that you’ll see the “I feel” part isn’t necessary.

 When you say “I agree” — follow it up with a clause beginning with “because” — that will further explain your position.

Don’t shy away from conflict or objections in your responses — that’s what’s interesting.

I’m looking for your original thoughts — that means that I want to see what else you think on the topic. So, extend your ideas a bit — push the envelope, take risks, try out ideas that you don’t believe in. This also means that you can’t just copy and paste stuff.
