Assignment: 

The purpose of this assignment is to create features, user stories, enabler stories, and a team backlog for an agile IT project.

Part 1

For this assignment, read the “Running Case” in Chapters 4 and 5 of the textbook. Complete the following tasks.

1.     Using the “BIT-415 Features and Benefits Matrix” template, create a list of 10 features based upon the requirements found in the “Running Case.” Discuss the associated benefit hypothesis and acceptance criteria for each of the features. An example is provided in the template.

2.     Using the “BIT-415 User Story and Acceptance Criteria” template, create a list of three user stories for each of the features developed in Step 1. Discuss the appropriate acceptance criteria for each of the user stories. An example is provided in the template.

3.     Using the “BIT-415 Enabler Stories” template, create a list of enabler stories based upon the features defined in Step 1. Discuss the appropriate acceptance criteria for each of the enabler stories. An example is provided in the template.

Part 2

Using the “BIT-415 Team Backlog” template, create a team backlog using the features, user stories, and enabler stories developed in Part 1. Complete the template by adding the estimated duration and priority for each user story. An example is provided in the template.

Practical Connection Assignment

Assignment:  Provide a reflection of at least 500 words of how the knowledge, skills, or theories of this course have been applied or could be applied, in a practical manner to your current work environment. If you are not currently working, share times when you have or could observe these theories and knowledge could be applied to an employment opportunity in your field of study. 

Requirements:

Provide a 500 word minimum reflection.

Use of proper APA formatting and citations. If supporting evidence from outside resources is used those must be properly cited.

Share a personal connection that identifies specific knowledge and theories from this course.

Demonstrate a connection to your current work environment. If you are not employed, demonstrate a connection to your desired work environment. 

You should not, provide an overview of the assignments assigned in the course. The assignment asks that you reflect how the knowledge and skills obtained through meeting course objectives were applied or could be applied in the workplace.

Chapter 4 – discussion question #1-5 & Case pg. 243 The Target story answer the two case questions on page 244 integrating concepts and examples from that case. 

The above assignments should be submitted in one-word document.

Include an APA cover page and a reference page.

Final Reflection Report

 

To synthesize and concisely articulate your internship tasks/accomplishments in written format, as well as understand growth & build awareness about professional skills and development.

Instructions: Write a final report to document your growth during your internship and its application to your future career goals. The report should be approximately three pages in length (0.5” margins, 11pt Arial, double-spaced) and clearly divided into the following sections:

General Information Section 

  • Explain your role and how your work contributed to the company 

Technical Skills (maximum one quarter-page sized picture/diagram) 

  • Document the technical experiences you had during your work experience and discuss technical problems that you assisted in solving 
  • Give examples of the principles learned through your coursework
  • Indicate any courses or subject areas that might have enhanced your work performance 
  • Do NOT include confidential information from your employer. 

Development of Professional Skills 

  • Describe team and leadership building opportunities on the job 
  • Address the ways in which you practiced oral and written communication on the job
  • Share the challenges you faced in the work environment and how you responded to those challenges
  • List and describe skills you relied on to complete your work assignments

Assessments

  • Discuss whether or not you met goals set out by your supervisor or that you set for yourself
  • Evaluate your performance of assigned projects, noting both areas of strength and improvement

Conclusion

  • Summarize by addressing the impact of the work experience on your education and career goals
  • Provide two “lessons learned” to share with any student that is considering an internship

1. Please fill out this form (also available in this week’s folder) to compare and contrast your three research articles (do not include your news article). 

2. Please write part 2 of your literature review. You will be essentially cutting and pasting your three objective summaries under Level II headings (see p 13 in your manuals)

Put them in an order that makes sense given how you compared and contrasted them.

Use your transition compare and contrast words (similiar to…etc) !!!
