n your initial post, choose a theory of motivation (Theory X/Y, Maslow’s Need Hierarchy, Acquired Needs Theory, Self-determination theory, Herzberg’s motivator-hygiene theory). Then, think of a behavior at work (or at school), either positive or negative. Does the theory of motivation you selected adequately explain the behavior? Why or why not? Connect the theory and its constructs to the example in detail.

Then, respond to 2 other colleagues. In each response, assume the role of a manager (or of a teacher, if at school) and describe ways that you could inspire or improve motivation – and consequently change the behavior – by applying one of these intrinsic motivation theories.
