8-1 Discussion: Freedom of Speech Online

After reading about the idea of freedom of online speech, discuss the following: Should internet content be censored? Explain using examples. Should an internet provider be liable for the content that appears online? Why or why not? Use recent, relevant examples from the news to support your position.

Web application using ReactJS

You are a graduating software engineer who is looking to apply to a few software engineering positions at various Fortune 500 companies. You decide to make a personal portfolio website that showcases some of your work so that you stand apart from the other applicants.

Using React, create a web application that has the following:

  1. A home page with a short description of yourself, what you are looking for in a position, and one project that you’ve worked on.
  2. A contact page with a text box and a submit button that shows a success message when the user submits a query.
  3. A navigation bar and footer.

You must use client side routing to handle page navigation.

Cyber Law – assignment 1

Using a Microsoft Word document, please define:

·        Internet/World Wide Web

·        Transmission Control/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

·        Packet

·        Router

·        Domain Name Service (DNS)

No word count specified. Please add references.

clouds-3-d

In 500 words or more, consider this statement: For cloud computing to become multi-jurisdictional, it must be separated from politics.

Use at least three sources. Use the Research Databases available from the Danforth Library not Google. Include at least 3 quotes from your sources enclosed in quotation marks and cited in-line by reference to your reference list.  Example: “words you copied” (citation) These quotes should be one full sentence not altered or paraphrased. Cite your sources using APA format. Use the quotes in your paragaphs.   Stand alone quotes will not count toward the 3 required quotes.

Project Documentation

Project implementation is arguably the most exciting stage of the project management process. It is during project implementation that project plans begin to come to life and assumptions are able to be tested and measured in real-life scenarios.

One of the outcomes of project implementation is a set of deliverables that typically includes a system diagram; a network diagram; a database design document, including an entity-relationship diagram, a data dictionary, and table definitions; a clearly articulated cybersecurity plan; and source code.

To complete this assignment, you will create:

  • A system diagram that shows, in graphic form, the components of your project.
    • Your system diagram should follow the system description you submitted in your Week 2 project plan (but may differ based on the research you have conducted since Week 2).
    • You may create your system diagram in Microsoft PowerPoint or a graphics program of your choice.
  • A network diagram that shows, in graphic form, the flow of data within your project.
    • Your network diagram should follow the network description you defined in the Week 2 project plan (but may differ based on the research you have conducted since Week 2).
    • You may create your network diagram in Microsoft PowerPoint or a graphics program of your choice.
  • A database design document, including an entity-relationship diagram, a data dictionary, and table definitions, representing all of the data that must be stored and maintained within the context of your project and how that data is organized.
  • A clearly articulated cybersecurity plan that explains how you plan to secure project data and processes.
  • Source code (may be partial) for at least one software application.
    • Your source code may be implemented in HTML/JavaScript, Java, C++, or another programming language.
  • A quality assurance and software test plan.
  • Download the Software Test Plan for an example of what information is typically included and how it is typically organized in a software test plan.

InfoTech in a Global Economy 1

Do you feel that countries and companies need explicit strategies for technology development, given the tremendous amount of largely spontaneous creativity that occurs today, often in areas where new technologies are not expected to exert a great influence.  Why or why not?

  • Explain, define, or analyze the topic in detail

Questions Need to be Completed in 10 hours

1. (250 words)

Before an organization considers scaling, it should understand the organizational system performance and potential system bottlenecks. Web Page Test (https://webpagetest.org/) is a site evaluator that creates a detailed report. The report helps identify images that can be further compressed and the impact of the systems cache, as well as potential benefits of compressing text.

Use WebPagetest to evaluate two or more websites. In one page, discuss how the report’s findings align with your user experience.

The paper must adhere to APA guidelines including Title and Reference pages.  The Title and Reference pages do not count towards the page count requirement. There should be at least one scholarly source listed on the reference page.  Each reference cited in the text must appear in the reference list, and each entry in the reference list must be cited in text. APA requirements for this class include:

  • A title page
  • 12-point Time New Roman font
  • Your paper should be typed and double-spaced with 1″ margins on all sides
  • The first sentence of each paragraph should be indented one tab space
  • All papers should contain the page number, flush right, in the header of every page. Use the automatic page-numbering function of your word-processing program to insert page numbers in the top right corner; do not type page numbers manually.
  • APA 7th edition in-text citations
  • Reference page

2. (250 words)

This week’s assigmnet is based on Chapter 6 & 7. Please complete the following assignment. You should have acquired the require text book for course.

Week 5 Assignment .pdf (Please Find attached Document)

3. (250 words)

Some partitional clustering algorithms that automatically determine the number of clusters claim that this is an advantage.  Using your required textbook, Chapters 6 & 7 as a guide, discuss two (2) situations in which this is not the case.

PLEASE PROVIDE PAGE NUMBER from your textbook in your citation.

CS

This assignment provides you an opportunity to practice

  • writing programs using Button, FlowPane, Stage and Scene.
  • writing programs using Font and Text classes, Text methods, Stage and Scene.
  • writing programs using ImageView, Button, Pane, Stage and Scene classes, and how to create and register event handler.

Directions

Please solve three (3) programming problems related to the content presented in Chapters 14 and 15 in your text. You can find the programming problems in the attached file (Module 7 Programming Problems Worksheet.docx (Links to an external site.)). For Programming Problem 3, you will need the card files (card.zip (Links to an external site.)).

  • Download the worksheet and save it as Mod7-Worksheet-Programming-Last-First.docx. For example, Mod7-Worksheet-Programming-Smith-John.docx.
  • Consider the problem, design an algorithm (or algorithms) that would solve the problem, and then implement the algorithm in Java.
  • Create a new folder and name it as Mod7-Java-Programming-Last-First, for example, Mod7-Java-Programming-Smith-John.
  • Write the source code for each problem and save them as .java files in the folder you created. There are three programming problems for this module so you should have three .java files. Name your java files as Mod7Problem#.java, for example, Mod7Problem1.java.
  • Copy data file(s) used for your program and/or output file into the folder. In this module, make sure to include image files/folder in the folder.
  • Please insert the algorithm written in pseudocode as a comment in the beginning of your program.
  • Take screenshots of your running program – you can take screenshots using PrintScreen or any tool that you are familiar with, making sure that the console window in which you run the program appears on the screen.
  • Copy the screenshots in the worksheet. If your program has different outcomes, take screenshots of each variation.

Submission

  • Compress the folder that saves all of your java files as .zip file. Please note don’t save the worksheet in the same folder as they need to be submitted seperately.
  • Submit the following two files as attachments by clicking the Submit Assignment button above.
    • Mod7-Java-Programming-Last-First.zip (including .java files, data files, and image files/folder).
    • Mod7-Worksheet-Programming-Last-First.docx.
