Length: Minimum of 600 words 

Create a portfolio related to work experience in IT. Submit a file that outlines any projects you have worked on as a student or professional that may influence a hiring manager or company to hire you.

Provide a reflection of at least 500 words (or 2 pages double spaced) of how the knowledge, skills, or theories of this course have been applied or could be applied, in a practical manner to your current work environment. If you are not currently working, share times when you have or could observe these theories and knowledge could be applied to an employment opportunity in your field of study. 

Requirements:

Use of proper APA formatting and citations. If supporting evidence from outside resources is used those must be properly cited.

Share a personal connection that identifies specific knowledge and theories from this course.

You should NOT provide an overview of the assignments assigned in the course. The assignment asks that you reflect how the knowledge and skills obtained through meeting course objectives were applied or could be applied in the workplace. 

The assignment will be graded using the following criteria:

Grammar/Spelling/Citation: Make sure all work is grammatically correct, spelling is 100% accurate, and cite all sources in-text/at the end of the paper where applicable. 

Technical Connection: Make the paper relevant to the course and its connection with your current classwork. Discuss how what you have learned can be applied to your work or future work. 

Word Count: The minimum word count is 500 words. 

Personal Connection – 4 Points: How does this course and the experiences you have been taught in  impact your personal work. 

Write an analytical summary of your learning outcomes from chapters 9 and 10. In addition to your analytical summary, address the following:

1.     As a manager, discuss how you would use or have used the concepts presented in chapters 9 and 10.

2.     Why might managers find a flexible-budget analysis more informative than static-budget analysis?

3.     How might a manager gain insight into the causes of flexible-budget variances for direct materials, labor, and overhead?

Develop a disaster recovery plan for an organization. There are many different templates available online for you to use as reference and guidance. Your plan should cover the following sections (these sections detail the elements in a DR plan in the sequence defined by industry compliance standards ISO 27031 and ISO 24762): 

1. Important: This section should summarize key action steps (such as where to assemble employees if forced to evacuate the building) and list key contacts with contact information for ease of authorizing and launching the plan.

Your paper should meet the following requirements:

• Be approximately six to eight pages in length, not including the required cover page and reference page. (Remember, APA is double spaced)
• Follow APA 7 guidelines. Your paper should include an introduction, a body with fully developed content, and a conclusion.
• Support your answers with the readings from the course and at least four scholarly journal articles to support your positions, claims, and observations, in addition to your textbook. The UC Library is a great place to find resources.
• Be clearly and well-written, concise, and logical, using excellent grammar and style techniques. You are being graded in part on the quality of your writing.

Color Mixer

The colors red, blue, and yellow are known as the primary colors because they cannot be made by

mixing other colors. When you mix two primary colors, you get a secondary color, as shown here:

When you mix red and blue, you get purple.

When you mix red and yellow, you get orange.

When you mix blue and yellow, you get green.

Design a program that prompts the user to enter the names of two primary colors to mix. If the user

enters anything other than “red,” “blue,” or “yellow,” the program should display an error message.

Otherwise, the program should display the name of the secondary color that results.

The final portfolio project is a three-part activity. You will respond to three separate prompts but prepare your paper as one research paper. Be sure to include at least one UC library source per prompt, in addition to your textbook (which means you’ll have at least 4 sources cited). 

Start your paper with an introductory paragraph.

Prompt 1 “Blockchain” (2-3 pages): Explain the major components of a blockchain. Be sure to include how blockchain is affecting a global economy and how you see it growing in the future. 

Prompt 2 “Big Data” (1-2 pages): Describe your understanding of big data and give an example of how you’ve seen big data used either personally or professionally. In your view, what demands is big data placing on organizations and data management technology?  How does big data affect a global economy.

Prompt 3 “Government and Policies” (1-2 pages):  Discuss the role government plays in a global economy.  Also, look at what policies are currently in place and then discussion what policies should be put in place..

Conclude your paper with a detailed conclusion section. 

The paper needs to be approximately 6 pages long, including both a title page and a references page (for a total of eight to ten pages). Be sure to use proper APA formatting and citations to avoid plagiarism.

Your final project paper is broken down into 3 parts, worth a total of 600 points towards your final grade. This milestone is worth 100 points.

For this piece of that assignment, you will write the introduction to your final portfolio project (2-3 pages), comprehensively describing the industry you are choosing to use in the paper and preliminary challenges with information governance that you have identified. Be sure to utilize 3-5 sources from the UC Library.

Review the instructions in the Portfolio Project document first (attached here). Each milestone is a separate writing assignment, leading up to the final submission in week 7.

Expectations are that it will be a scholarly work, using largely peer-reviewed resources, formatted to APA 7 style. Grammar, spelling, and punctuation are significantly weighted. Any instance of plagiarism will result in a 0 on the activity (first offense) or failing the course (2nd offense).

This weeks reading mentioned various types of mobile attacks. In your own words state what types of attacks exists and the method of approach you would utilize to address the attack in an enterprise setting.

 Discuss the difference between a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), a Business Continuity Plan (BCP), and a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).  You might want to start with the definitions from the NIST SP 800-34, located at http://nvlpubs.nist.gov/nistpubs/Legacy/SP/nistspecialpublication800-34r1.pdf.  Section 3.5 discusses the different types of Plan Testing, Training, and Exercises.
