DEFINITION: a brief definition of the key term followed by the APA reference for the term; this does not count in the word requirement.

SUMMARY: Summarize the article in your own words- this should be in the 150-200 word range. Be sure to note the article’s author, note their credentials and why we should put any weight behind his/her opinions, research or findings regarding the key term.

ANALYSIS: Using 300-350 words, write a brief analysis, in your own words of how the article relates to the selected chapter Key Term. An analysis is not rehashing what was already stated in the article, but the opportunity for you to add value by sharing your experiences, thoughts and opinions. This is the most important part of the assignment.

 The vast majority of the population associates Blockchain with cryptocurrency Bitcoin; however, there are many other uses of blockchain; such as Litecoin, Ether, and other currencies. In this discussion, please describe at least two cryptocurrencies with applicable examples. Discuss some similarities and differences. Lastly, discuss if you have any experience using any cryptocurrencies. 

Provide an outside source  that applies to the topic, along with additional information about the topic or the source (please cite properly in APA)

Scenario

Your new manager comes to you and asks you that he keeps hearing about read/write blockers for forensic imaging. He’s not sure what that is. He also is confused because he’s heard that there’s two different types (software and hardware). Also, there’s commercial and open source tools. He knows you just took a course in digital forensics so he asks you to prepare a memo for him explaining all that.

Your assignment

1. Research on what is a forensic read/write blocker and what is the difference between a hardware and a software version?
2. Research on what tools are available e.g. commercial (you buy) or open-source (free) and what types are available.
3. Identify some situations where it makes sense to use the hardware versions or when it makes sense to use software versions?
4. Put it all together and summarize it for your manager! No more than 2 pages please.

What this teaches you

Being familiar with what tools the investigator used will help you. You gain credibility by asking what hardware or software tools they used, how they deployed it and why they went with a hardware or software version.

1. The annotated bibliography will contain six (6)sources using the MLA style for the reference citations. 
2. Your sources must include at least one book, one article, and one web source. 
3. Each source listed will also include a 3-5-sentence annotation that will describe the relevance between the information in the source and your topic. 
4. Your annotations identify how the source relates to your topic. Spelling, grammar, and writing style will be evaluated. The annotated bibliography should be typed in MLA style, double-spaced with one-inch margins (top, bottom, left, and right). Include your name and page number in the header (top-aligned right); include your name, Prof. Name, Class Name, the date on the left side.  

Complete the following assignment in the Information Technology and Organizational Learning textbook:

• Chapter 7 – Review the section on dealing with multiple locations and outsourcing.  Review figure 7.2 and note how virtual team communications further reiterates the importance of this model. 
• Chapter 8 – Review the Siemens AG case study.  Note the importance of understanding the interrelationships amongst all the senior leaders at every location.  Pay special attention to Figure 8.1 and Figure 8.2. Note how the corporate CIO should engage with each of the regional leaders.  Why is this important?

Complete the assignment using narrative paragraphs and explain your thoughts and findings in detail. Adhere to APA format requirements and do not use lists or bullets. Identify your answers by its chapter # to help the reader find your answers to specific items. Use Times New Roman 12 font, double-spaced. Include a coversheet with your name, class ID and the title of the assignment. Your submission needs to be at least two pages in length (one page per chapter). The coversheet, figures, tables, and reference list doesn’t count toward the page count. Post the assignment as one MS Word document by the due date in the syllabus. Do not submit any other format such as PDF. Please provide and cite two references IAW APA.

Use the web or other resources to research at least two criminal or civil cases in which  recovered files played a significant role in how the case was resolved.
