Exercise Instructions:  You are required to submit a 2-Page (Title Page and Content Page), APA formatted paper with substantial content.  The  goal of the project is to implement a “prototype” database system  application / ERD diagram for an eCommerce social-network system called  UCOnline where users can explore information about books/music/software,  rate your purchase, identify purchase price and see ratings of their  friends.  The  project will require you to complete the assignment individually. Below  you will find the ERD deliverable requirements. There are two parts to  the assignment. You must create a diagram using a diagramming tool AND  provide a written text-based document explaining your relationship  mapping (systems analysis use case document). The assignment is worth 30  points. See rubric for grading scheme.  BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS ACROSS ALL ASSIGNMENTS  You will work with book/music/media information, user information, ratings of books, and users’ social network  

• Each  book has an id, title, publication date, publisher, ISBN, functional  category, page count, price (publisher), and product description
• There are 3 categories of book: fiction, non-fiction, and specialty
• There are 2 categories of music: digital and media-based
• An author can write one or more books.
• A musician can be a solo artist, part of a group, or both
• An author can also be associated with one or more publishers.
• A musician/group/act can be associated with one or more music houses
• An author’s book can have one or more editions.
• A song and or album can have more than one version/edition (i.e. EP, LP, CD, DVD etc)
• A publisher can have many authors and many books.
• A record company can have many artists associated and many albums associated with it. 
• A record company can also be the publishing company (i.e. self-publishing)
• Many  ISBNs can also be associated with a given publisher but only one ISBN  per form of medium (ie the ISBN is the PK no matter what).
• An author can write many books.
• An artist can write many songs, albums etc.

UCOnline needs  to keep track of user ratings for each item sold in the online store  (e.g., 1-5 and 1 for ‘Dislike’, to 5, for ‘Awesome!’). A particular user rates a particular item at a given time. A user CANNOT rate the same multiple times unless there are multiple editions of the item. Each edition can be rated separately. Each  user who submits a rating will be identified by a unique id and has a  name, gender, age, and location. Nothing is anonymous. There  is also a social network between users. Users can send communication  requests (i.e. instant messages/emails) to other users. Such requests  can be accepted or ignored. Once accepted, the two users are considered  ‘book buddies.’ If ignored, the user can send the request again. We want  to add a store when the requests were sent (timestamp), the result of  the requests and when the request was answered (timestamp).

 How can software engineers live up to their ethical obligations, both
professionally and in their private lives?
There are a number of common habits and practices that create obstacles to living
well in the moral sense; fortunately, there are also a number of common habits and
practices that are highly conducive to living well:
Five Ethically Constructive Habits of Mind and Action:
1.  Self- Reflection/Examination:  This  involves  spending  time  on  a  regular  basis
(even  daily)  thinking  about  the  person  you  want  to  become,  in  relation  to  the
person you are today. It involves identifying character traits and habits that you
would like to change or improve in your private and professional life; reflecting on
whether you would be happy if those whom you admire and respect most knew all
that you know about your actions, choices and character; and asking yourself how
fully you are living up to the values you profess to yourself and others.
2. Looking  for  Moral  Exemplars: Many of us spend a great deal of our time, often
more than we realize, judging the shortcomings of others.  We wallow in irritation or anger at what we perceive as unfair, unkind or incompetent behavior of others,
we comfort ourselves by noting the even greater professional or private failings of
others, and we justify ignoring the need for our own ethical improvement by noting
that many others seem to be in no hurry to become better people either.  What we
miss when we focus on the shared faults of humanity are those exemplary actions
we witness, and the exemplary persons in our communities, that offer us a path
forward in our own self-development. Exemplary acts of forgiveness, compassion,
grace,  courage,  creativity  and  justice  have  the  power  to  draw  our  aspirations
upward;  especially  when  we  consider  that  there  is  no  reason  why  we  would  be
incapable of these actions ourselves. But this cannot happen unless we are in the
habit of looking for, and taking notice of, moral exemplars in the world around us.  

Because for many ethics questions there is no absolutely right or wrong answers as such, your responses will be graded based on completeness and thoughtfulness as opposed to rote or perfunctory ones. There are three grade levels for this assignment based on your responses to all the questions: 20 (no reasoning in responses), 35 (minimal to little reasoning), and 50 (sufficient reasoning and consideration).

Write your answers in a Word file using Times New Roman font (no smaller than 10 pt but no bigger than 12 pt), single spacing, 1″ margins on all sides. AT LEAST 2 PAGES.

Note Table 24-1 illustrates the operating section of the Cash Budget. This table appears on pp 708.

For the line items “capital expenditure” and “mortgage payment” create a separate section in your cash budget for Investing and Financing respectively and include these and any other relevant cash flows in these two sections.

 Class, Appcelerator Titanium was released in December 2008, and has been steadily growing in functionality since its release.  Starting with its Titanium Developer product, Appcelerator provides a single-point interface to run applications.  Titanium Studio is a full-featured IDE which provides a single place to handle all steps of the development environment including a debugging solution.   Titanium is not a magic bullet; however, it does include a solid framework for developing a single codebase to deploy to multiple platforms.   In addition, it allows developers to use a language they are more familiar with to create apps in a domain outside of their knowledge.
