Literature Review: Blockchain Initiatives

While most applications of blockchain technology have emerged in the financial sector (for example, Zcash, Circle, and Abra), its practical applications go beyond finance, because essentially any type of digital asset can be tracked and traded through a blockchain. Many different industries are experimenting in the blockchain space, even though this experimentation is still in its early stages. Examples range from medical records (MedRec, PokitDok), to digital rights and micropayments (Brave Browser, Ascribe, Open Music Initiative), identity systems (uPort), and supply chains (Everledger, Hyperledger).

For your literature review this week, you are required to choose a blockchain initiative that interests you. It could be an existing application that you have come across in your own research, one of the examples listed above, or an idea that you may have for blockchain technology as a solution to a business problem.

You are to review the literature on your blockchain initiative and discuss problems and gaps that have been identified in the literature. You will expand on the issue and how researchers have attempted to examine that issue by collecting data – you are NOT collecting data, just reporting on how researchers did their collection.

Paper Layout:

– Title Page

– Table of contents: Use a Microsoft Enabled Table of Contents feature.

– Background:  (minimum 1 page)

Describe the issue, discuss the problem, and elaborate on any previous attempts to examine that issue. Be sure to discuss similar blockchain initiatives here.

– Research Questions: (minimum 1.5 pages)

In the identified problem area that you are discussing, what were the research questions that were asked? Be sure to include main research questions from all the literature you are reviewing.

– Methodology:  (minimum 2 page)

What approach did the researcher use, qualitative, quantitative, survey, case study? Describe the population that was chosen. You will discuss the methodology for all the literature you are reviewing.

– Data Analysis:  (minimum 2 page)

What were some of the findings, for example, if there were any hypotheses asked, were they supported?

– Conclusions:

What was the conclusion of any data collections, e.g., were research questions answered, were hypotheses supported? Be sure to also include the similarities and differences between the literature. Also discuss here the future of this blockchain initiative and if it is a viable initiative.

Paper requirements:

– Be a minimum of 7 pages in length, not including the required cover page, table of contents and reference pages.

– Follow APA 7 guidelines. Be sure to conduct research on formatting literature reviews.

– Your literature review should include a minimum of 8 scholarly peer-reviewed journal articles.

– Be clear and well-written, concise, and logical, using excellent grammar and style techniques. You are being graded in part on the quality of your writing. You can use Grammarly for help with your grammar and spelling.

Note: plagiarism check required, APA7 format, include References, within 8hrs

Summative Assessment: Online Interactions

Online interactions pose a threat to all servers. We expose ourselves to these threats while using social networking, web browsing, and email. Here’s where you can test your risk mitigation skills. Playbooks typically cover a section related to threats and defenses of online interactions.

Create your second playbook in Microsoft Word or Word Compatible, where you outline steps to take when an employee reports clicking on a website that appeared in an email.

Separate playbook and needs to have a cover page and references.

Include the following information in this section of your playbook:

  • Description of 2 threats this interaction presents to the company
  • List of step-by-step instructions on how to mitigate each interaction

Remember, numbered or bulleted steps or guidelines make the document easy for others to follow under potential stressful situations. Paragraphs can be used to help support the steps or guidelines.

Cite at least 2 resources to support your assignment.

Format your assignment according to APA guidelines.

Create a User Interface for a New Application

Synopsis: An aerospace company has decided to update their technology to something more modern and efficient. The segment of the task that requires your attention is in regard to the inventory system. This system will need to collect information and store it into a database for each aircraft. This particular segment focuses on the wheel assembly.

Description: An aerospace company, called AAC, is restructuring its internal technology processes. AAC is a large corporation that develops and assembles airplanes and cutting-edge craft for several markets, including commercial and defense. These craft include large passenger jets, attack aircraft, as well as spaceflight technologies.

The company has chosen to create a new database system to manage its incredibly large and complex parts inventory.

You work as an application software designer for an international corporation that has received the contract to create the system, IBN. You are the primary designer and business interface between IBN and AAC. You will design the User Interfaces that will be implemented.

IBN’s specialists have already determined which software language and database that the application will be created with. In addition, they have determined the first two modules that will be implemented – Aircraft Information Entry and Wheel Assembly Subsystems.

Aircraft Basic Information Entry: These screens will allow for creating and editing of a new aircraft. It will include the aircraft name, first assembly date, chief designer, description of use, the primary customer, and a list of parts suppliers.

Wheel Assembly Subsystems: These screens will allow for the entry of all parts required for the assembly, the number on-hand, the price for the part, and a description of the part.

As the designer of the user interface, you will need to consider the natural flow of information, screen structures that allow for efficiency, ease of use, and logical grouping of controls and related data.

These two modules will have a minimum of six screens. Effective designs may have more, if determined to be beneficial to end users. Note that research will be required to determine more specific content of the screens. Expert sources from Deets Library and other professional credible sources will be required to complete this assignment. Therefore, the sources will need to be cited to acknowledge credit for their contributions for concepts, ideas, and facts. The minimum screens are as follows:

1. Control Panel

2. Aircraft Search Screen

3. Add/Update Aircraft Information Screen

4. Add/Update Wheel Assembly Subsystems

5. List All Aircraft

6. List All Wheel Assembly Parts per Aircraft

Deliverables:

1. Brainstorming and sketching: you will need to sketch out your designs by hand. Add notes as necessarily to illustrate the thought process to the LPG Technology Committee.

2. Create a User Flow Diagram to illustrate how a user will interact with your system.

3. Once you have chosen a style for the UI, create a preview of each using a wireframe for each of the seven screens.

4. Finally, create a mockup of the seven screens. These can be static or a clickable prototype. The mockups can be in either PowerPoint or Word, or even submitted in HTML, as you so choose.

Please submit all files as a compressed (*.zip) file via the designated Unit 2 assignment in Blackboard.

Need help with Project Portfolio

Please use the attached sample and Project reports.

How to Prepare the Portfolio

The portfolio report must be typewritten and should be a minimum of 3 complete pages in length. A project report that is two and a half pages (2.5 pages) is not acceptable. Large margins that have been increased to meet the length requirement are also not acceptable. If your report is not submitted according to the stated specifications, you will be asked to re-write it.

Do not submit the original project; the report is meant to capture the project highlights and significant points of the original project.

You will write a report on the project that includes:

  1. Introduction
  2. Explanation of the solution
  3. Description of the results
  4. Description of your contributions to the project
  5. Explanation of what new skills, techniques, or knowledge you acquired from the project and if it was a group project, you should also include a list of team members who worked on the project.
  6. A reference section with at least 4 references and citations to those references inside the text. Use the IEEE Referencing Style Sheet for citation guidelines.

Executing New Technologies

You worked closely with your IT managers to develop a complementing IT strategic plan, and your team identified the new technologies to be implemented in the next 2 years.

Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:

  • Discuss how you would proceed in advancing any technologies, from the planning phase to executing and utilizing them in the company.

Create an ArrayList of strings and call it parks. Read in the names of national parks from the user until the user enters done (or DONE, or dOnE, .. ) Keep in mind, that the names of some national parks consist of more than one word, for example, Mesa V

  • Create an ArrayList of strings and call it parks.
  • Read in the names of national parks from the user until the user enters done (or DONE,
or dOnE, .. )  Keep in mind, that the names of some national parks consist of more than one word, for example, Mesa Verde.
As you read in the national parks, add them to the list.
  • Next, we are going to build a string based on the elements in the list parks. Since the text keeps changing as we add one park at a time, we use class StringBuilder for this task.
  • Use a StringBuilder  called sb to create the string  nationalParks  .
  • Loop through all the elements of the list  parks and add them one at a time.
The resulting string should have the following format:
    Favorite National Parks: {park1} | {park2} | . . . | {parkN}
The parks are separated by a space, a vertical bar, and another space. However, there is no vertical bar after the last element. {park1}, {park2}, {parkN} are the various list elements with updated spelling.
  • Create a private method to update the spelling.
We can’t control whether the user enters the park names in uppercase or lowercase letters. However, we can change the names to a spelling where all letters are lowercase except for the first letters of each individual word. In order to make those changes, create a private method called updateSpelling. It has the following method header:
    private static String updateSpelling(String text)
E.g.: When you pass the string “MESA VERDE” the method returns “Mesa Verde”
E.g.: When you pass  “yEllOwstOnE” it returns “Yellowstone”
E.g.: Passing “black canyon of the gunnison” returns “Black Canyon Of The Gunnison”
    E.g.: Passing  “Denali” returns “Denali”
