1. The use of playbooks is very common in sports. They can also serve very important purposes in business—as a user manual that outlines knowledge needed so anyone on your team can help ensure business continuity. But most importantly, security playbooks can keep your business running smoothly if a business experiences attacks or intrusions that can occur at any time.  

   For this assignment, you work for an enterprise business. The board of directors is worried about recent ransomware attacks that have happened across several industries that have made the news. They want to make sure the organization is prepared for potential attacks. You have been asked to present to the board of directors 3 playbooks that would be utilized as part of the incident response plan specifically for risk management at the business level. Create a playbook for each of the following:

   • SQL Injection 
   • Website Compromise 
   • Exploitation of Windows 7 Workstations
   • Read Cybersecurity in 2021 from All Hands on Tech for help completing this assignment.  

     To complete this, you should create a 12- to 16-slide presentation with speaker notes and media such as images, video, or tables that will be presented to the board of directors. Specifically, your presentation should do the following:  

   • Explain the importance of using playbooks to risk management.  
   • Summarize the risks of the 3 threats listed above and recommendation of remediation plan presented in the labs associated with SQL Injection, Website Compromise, and Exploitation of Windows 7 Workstations. 
   • Summarize incident response plans for each of the 3 attack scenarios listed above.  
   • Justify NIST implementation, including an explanation of why it is the best option rather than another quicker and easier process. 
   • Identify additional tools and systems that might reduce or mitigate the risk of the 3 identified threats.

Research Optical Fiber. Identify two everyday examples of Optical Fiber use. For each of these examples show how Optical Fiber is used and how it works. Summarize your findings in a brief paper.

Suppose we have the past 60 monthly returns for a stock. A monthly return is represented as a percentage.  A 10% monthly return means that if at the beginning of the month its price is 100 and at the end of the month its price is 110, we say its monthly return is 10%.

The question is: what is the probability of seeing this stock’s annual return for the next 12 months greater than 10%? How do we solve this problem? The problem obviously includes “forecast” and “probability”. Please provide your ideas. 

Perform a mini research on IAM solutions. 

1) What do you think the future of IAM will be?

Describe your findings in a one-page report; also include the sources where you get information from.

Step 1: write a macro that can create one file for each tab located in workbook “Budget Request Form.xls”. First file would be named “Budget Request Form – Drama.xls”, second file “Budget Request Form – English.xls” etc (I want flexibility if adding tabs or changing tab names, the macro should be able to create one file for each of the tabs located in the main workbook.Step2: after the different files are created, I would like to collect information from these files (let’ say “Budget Request Form – Drama.xls” and “Budget Request Form – English.xls”) into workbook “Submissions – Final.xls”. The data collected is currently in GREEN. One line will be added for each source file in this case we have 2 here. All source files will be located in the same folder. the folder’s name is “Budget – Submissions”.

Please use this template for the written portion (Microsoft Word) of Project 4.  Remember to address all items on the template in enough details that I can tell you understand the associated competency.

Professor’s Notes:

This week you are beginning to Develop a Training and Operations Plan for the BallotsOnline cloud.  Project 4 has two parts.  A 5-8 slide PowerPoint presentation for cloud user and admin training, AND  an 8-10 page Cloud Operations Plan (Microsoft Word).  It is important to note that all the work you do will be part of the final report. Keep that in mind as you progress, and your final runbook will come together a lot faster.  PLEASE click down to step 7 and review the competencies that are required on the final project.  This will help you ensure you are capturing all the required elements as you do your research and writing over the next three weeks.   

This week you are deploying the AWS Service Catalog as described in Step 2.  Remember that you are deploying these services so that you can ultimately prepare a training presentation and Operations Plan.  Document the deployment steps for the Admin Training presentation you are creating for Project 4.

you are beginning to assemble key deliverables for your Project 4 Submission.  In this week you are preparing a PowerPoint Training Presentation for the different elements of cloud user and cloud admin use of the AWS Service Catalog., AND you are starting to prepare a Microsoft Word Cloud Operations End-User Guide.  Per the instructions, your presentation and guide should include key information related to cloud use for BallotOnline users as well as administration for the admins.  Your presentation should be five to eight slides long.  Narration is not required; however, you need to add narration text as notes on each slide.  This will be a required element for your Project 4 submission, so I recommend you start doing adding that element now.  Remember your Audience!  You are preparing a presentation for people that do not have a deep IT background.  Make sure your presentation takes this into account. 

The second part for this week is to create your first draft of the Cloud Operations End-User Guide.  This will be part of the Cloud Operations Plan that you will submit as part of Project 4.  The End-User guide Template in Step 5 gives you some guidance on this activity.  Remember, this is only one part of your final Operation Plan, so keep your length reasonable.

As always, pay attention to the competencies for Project 4 and study the learning objectives to make sure you are addressing the appropriate topics.

1. Install the DBMS.
2. Tune the setup variables according to the hardware, software and usage conditions.
3. Create the database and the tables. (Every table must have a primary key, which uniquely identifies rows in the table and validation rule).
4. Establish relationships between tables.
5. Load the data into the tables.
6. Create at least three forms (splash screen and Main switchboard are optional).
7. Create at least four transaction requirement Queries
8. Create data views and reports.

Part 1

 Share your topic idea(s) here. Here are some things to consider:

1. Identify a topic in your specialization. (For IT students, Information Technology is not a topic, however, Millennial’s perceptions of smart phone technology could be a topic.  For leadership students, leadership or leadership styles would be too broad.  You could, however, compare leader and followers perceptions of leadership styles in private four year institutions. These are examples).  
2. What is the cited problem? The problem you want to address has to come from the literature, and be cited, who are saying there are problems.
3. What is the population you would like to address?
4. What methodology are you planning on using? (If you are unsure, do you plan on a quantitative or qualitative study?  You will determine your methodology in 839).
5. Locate at least one article related to your topic. What was the research question in the study? Who were the participants in the study? What findings were reported?

Part 2

Completion of the dissertation primarily rests upon you, the doctoral student. However, research indicates that self-regulated learning strategies predict the elapsed time along the dissertation journey (Dunn & Rakes, 2015; Kelley & Salisbury-Glennon, 2016). One such strategy is the creation of a timeline. This cyclical process has the learner plan out a task, monitor their performance along major milestones, reflect on their progress, and then use the reflection to adjust the timeline. However, to be effective, this strategy needs to be personalized for each learner’s purpose (Zimmerman, 2002).

Using the attached template as a guide, you are to create such a timeline – a roadmap, if you will, along your dissertation journey. Incorporated within the timeline are major milestones. Build into the timeline goals for each milestone with specific dates. You may also want to include specific contact information as well as possible obstacles that may arise. This will be a tool you will bring to each consultation with your professor/chair. Most importantly, it is to be a useable point of reference along your dissertation journey.
