 Each case developed by the Case Writing Pair should be 4 -6 double-spaced pages and include:

1)A formal introduction including the basic details of the case, the relevant organization, and the role that the author played in the situation. It is appropriate to write in either the first person or third person at this stage in the project. In the introduction, be sure to include mention of the topics to be covered in the rest of the project paper (scope). 

2) Objective 1-Case: Provide full description of the case/incident with sufficient detail so that another reader will fully understand what took place and what is at issue from an OBHR perspective. Be sure to separate your case description from your theoretical analysis.

3) Objective 2 -Analysis: Using both internal courses and other external sources as a foundation, provide a summary of what the writers considered to be the “wrongs” and “rights” with regard to OBHR theories and practices. Jason works at a call center for an insurance company called ABF, and he has been

answering calls regarding auto insurance. Recently, he started to attend a training program

about home insurance. Upon successful completion of this training program, Jason will be

able to handle home insurance questions and queries as well. Jason now will get in addition

to his base salary a medical insurance, vacations, day care assistance, and spot bonus. ABF

does not employ highly experienced and knowledgeable employees. It gives employee the

minimal required training only. However, it rewards employees for partially or completely

attaining a predetermined work objective.

ABF compensation managers or staff employees such as compensation generalists and HR

specialists use job evaluation to recognize differences in the relative worth of jobs and

attracting and retaining the most qualified employees based upon market and compensation

surveys. Another technique they use at ABF to recruit technicians is checking the market pay

and paying similar to their competitors in the market. All this is done by an HR specialist

who helps in finding the right candidate that fits within the company. However, line

Overview

At this point, you’ve organized your HR project team and you are  familiar with the importance of leading and managing the project and  team. It is now time to plan your project, which happens to be a large  and critical part of project management. Project planning tends to be  collaborative and integrative in that many factors, such as scope,  resourcing, budgeting, and risk, need to be considered.

Instructions

Write a 5–6 page paper in which you:

  1. Define and discuss scope and scheduling as they each relate to  project management, and provide a statement of importance to your  project team so they know the relevance of each task.
  2. Review the behavioral skills associated with project resourcing  listed in the textbook in Section 9.1, and select any four of the skills  you consider more critical. Be sure to explain why.
  3. Explain to the management team and your project team how you have  determined the budget associated with project costs. How are costs  aggregated? How would you explain determining cash flow for separate  activities? Be specific with your responses.
  4. Discuss at least three ways the project manager is able to identify possible project risks.
