Recruitment & Selection Project Instructions – PowerPoint Presentation

Purpose: Through the completion of the Recruitment and Selection Project, the student will create a staffing plan which a hypothetical organization of their own design may use to acquire talent. The entire staffing process will be developed includingthe creation of job descriptions, the development and evaluation of necessary recruitment and selection methods, and an analysis of appropriate job offer and onboarding strategies. Care should be taken throughout the development of this project to ensure that all recommendations, processes, and procedures follow relevant EEO laws and regulations.

Presentation:

• Assume you are presenting to the executive team of your organization. Prepare a professional presentation in MS PowerPoint that reviews each of the major elements of your recommended staffing plan. Ensure that your plan solves the staffing issue and positions the organization to achieve its strategic initiative. • Slide contento Title slide – remember that this is being presented to the leadership teamo Introduction – While you don’t need to describe the company you do need to introduce the strategic staffing need.o Job Analysis – discuss the process utilizedo Job Description – while you would not have a slide of the job description, you would indicate that a handout is being distributed or in their packet.o Recruitment Plan – discuss the recruitment methods you have selected and why.o Selection Plan – discuss the selection process; indicate that the flow chart is being distributed or in their packet.o Job Offer – discuss the process and who will be includedo Onboarding – discuss the process that will be used for orientation.o Conclusion – request support to move forward.• Notes – The detail of what would be your verbal presentation must be represented in the notes section of each slide. This is where you will demonstrate mastery of the topics and your ability to inform and persuade your audience. This also reduces you feeling the need to place too much information on each slide.• Professional presentation, clarity of slides​o It is important that the slides be streamlined, interesting, and professional.o The use of an appropriate template, SmartArt to graphically depict information, and use of graphics to enhance the message is important. Do not just submit a plain PowerPoint deck that is filled with words and bullet point lists.o The presentation must be interesting and visually appealing and memorable.o Slides should not be overly cluttered and should be easily viewed when presented in a large setting. Use an appropriate font and font size.o Slides must be grammatically correct and free of misspelled words.

Option #1: Strategy 6: Cultural Challenges

For this Module 6 Milestone assignment, create a framework from which an international human resource management function can address cultural challenges. Within your framework, devise a model that includes due diligence steps, merger steps, and post-merger steps that specifically address cultural acclimation and environmental acclimation, as well as bringing two workforces together.

This Milestone assignment should be no more than two pages in length (not including cover and reference pages), so focus on being clear and concise.

Define a Case Study

In this assignment, you will create a case study for use throughout this course. The case study should relate to the field of human services. It could be a case that you have come across in your organization or community, or it could be a case that you have heard about in the news. This is the first step in the development of the final course project. You will build on this initial work during Unit 5 and 7 of this course. The assignment should include the following sections:

1. Background: This section of the paper should present a description of the case study and its historical background.
2. Problems and Needs: This part of the paper should highlight the problems and needs of individuals described in the case study. These problems should be those that are typically addressed by human service professionals. You should also include demographic information about the individuals in the case study and their community.
3. Data Collection: The following questions should be addressed in this section of the paper: what is your plan to support and frame your case study within the context of literature; how will you go about developing a research plan?
4. Sources: Identify 3–4 sources (peer-reviewed journal articles) that you will use to support your case study.
5. Ethics: The case study developed should include typical ethical challenges and dilemmas that are faced by human service professionals.

You should use the databases in the Capella Library to review and select sources to use in the case study. The Neukrug textbook should be consulted for guidance related to the scope of human service and ethical issues.

• Font: 12-point Times or Times New Roman, double-spaced.
• Writing: Writing should be clear, organized, and free of errors; it should also follow professional standards.

Some art experts say that Renaissance art is to modern art what  parents are to children. In other words, many of modern art’s basic  ideas, such as perspective and the use of objects of focus, stem from  the Renaissance masters. In this assignment, you will have the  opportunity to compare a piece of art from the Renaissance to a piece of  modern art. Your goal is to attempt to answer this question: What makes  one piece of art modern and another not?

1. Select one of the Renaissance masterpieces and its artist from the National Gallery’s Tour: Renaissance Masterpieces and include a rationale for your selection (1/4 page).

4. Detail three major characteristics of modern art based on the Museum of Modern Art’s What Is Modern Art? web page (1/2 page).
