Prepare an 8 page APA style paper using the resources you have read in this course and at least 3 additional peer reviewed resources. Follow the writing requirements for this course. Include an introduction and conclusion in the paper. Remember to use APA formatted headings for each section of the paper and provided in text citations of the sources you use. This paper should address the following questions:

(1) Does Blockchain technology have the potential to cause the paradigm shift in business practices that many experts are predicting? Explain why or why not.  Support your answer with research.

(2) Is there evidence to suggest that Blockchain technology will change the way HR is practiced? If there is, discuss that evidence. If there is not, what issues exist that impede its adoption?

(3) Which functions of human resource management could be most impacted by Blockchain technology? How might the HR functions change? Support your answer with research.

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Research

Search online and find 1-3 articles that discuss the competition between Target and Walmart. For each article:

Provide a link to the article.

Identify which aspects of the article will be helpful as you conduct your SWOT analysis.

Step 2: Strengths

Based on your own experiences shopping at Target and Walmart and the research you conducted:

Identify 1-2 strengths Target has in comparison to Walmart. For each strength, explain your rationale.

Step 3: Weaknesses

Based on your own experiences shopping at Target and Walmart and the research you conducted:

Identify 1-2 weaknesses Target has in comparison to Walmart. For each weakness, explain your rationale.

Step 4: Opportunities

Based on your own experiences shopping at Target and Walmart and the research you conducted:

Identify 1-2 possible opportunities Target has to be more competitive with Walmart. For each opportunity, explain your rationale.

Step 5: Threats

Based on your own experiences shopping at Target and Walmart and the research you conducted:

Identify 1-2 possible threats that might diminish Target’s competitiveness with Walmart. For each threat, explain your rationale.

Step 6: Who Will Come Out Ahead?

Based on your SWOT analysis, do think that Target or Walmart is better positioned over the long term to come out ahead? Why?

Step 7: Real-World Application

Conduct a SWOT analysis for your company and one of its biggest competitors using the methodology outlined in Steps 1-6.

Using the Hospitals Compare feature on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services website, access benchmarking data for local hospitals https://www.medicare.gov/hospitalcompare/search.html 

•Conduct a search by name, proximity, or geography following the instructions under the heading “Find a Hospital?”

•Select at least two facilities to compare by selecting “Add to Compare”

•Select “Compare Now”

•Select one of the Categories/Tabs at the top (example – Survey, Complications)

•Select a Category from the drop-down arrow(s)

•Select “Show Graphs”

•Copy and/or save graphs

Create an 8-10 slide PowerPoint presentation with a title, introduction, and reference page to:

•Describe the use of benchmarking and comparative data. Provide at least 3 examples, based on your Hospitals Compare results.  

•Discuss statistical data that allow comparative measures, such as mean and median. Provide at least 3 examples, based on your Hospitals Compare results.

Assignment overview and directions:

The steps of the strategic planning process also referred to as the strategy change cycle:

1) Initiate and agree on a strategic planning process

2) Identify organizational mandates

3) Clarify organizational mission and values

4) Assess the external and internal environments to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats

5) Identify the strategic issues facing the organization

6) Formulate strategies to manage the issues

7) Review and adopt the strategies or strategic plan

8) Establish an effective organizational vision

9) Develop an effective implementation process

10) Reassess the strategies and the strategic planning process

Each of these steps should be discussed in about 1/2 page in length. For each of the steps listed above, you should discuss the most important aspects for each step that you should understand as someone that would implement a strategic plan for an organization. You should generally provide an overview of each step.

This should be the format of your Paper: APA FORMAT that includes Abstract etc.

2)The second paragraph should discuss step #1.
