Loyalty Programs

The purpose of this assignment is for you to evaluate frequency/loyalty programs as a viable promotional tool within an advertising program. Since almost all hotels use loyalty programs (frequency programs) as a form of alternative marketing, this assignment focuses on the hotel industry. From the list below, choose at least five hotels to evaluate; assess the hotels’ loyalty programs based upon the overall value to the customer:

Use the following criteria to comparatively evaluate each loyalty program:

Explain the investment that is necessary to earn rewards. For instance, consumers may need to invest money, time, or other resources.

Describe the system of rewarding points or awards.

Explain the redemption policies.

Describe any additional requirements with respect to the redemption of awards.

Present your evaluation of the loyalty programs by creating a PowerPoint presentation with at least 10 slides (not including the title and references slides). Critique each loyalty program, and decide which ones are the best. Then, explain why they are the best. Make sure to cite the websites you analyzed, your textbook, and at least one additional source by using correct APA format. Use the “Notes” feature to elaborate on the contents of each slide.

  • Determine  the importance of equal pay between men and women. Then, suggest two  (2) valid reasons why their pay may be different for the same position.  Justify your response. 
  • Assess  the importance of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA)  when an employer provides benefits of any kind. Classify two (2) pros of  an employee using the benefits that the employer provides and at least  one (1) con that may be a conflict for an employee using such benefits. Note: Refer to cases in your textbook as you formulate your response.

Consider that you are a large organization and you are preparing to move your business from New Jersey to Arizona in 12 months.   Your business has 2500 employees.  Some will lose their job, some will retire and some will move with the company.   You have 12 months to prepare for this organizational change.  

2.  Your job is to recommend to management the model that they should use over the coming year to best manage this change.  So, I ask that you prepare a 12- 15 page presentation (PowerPoint) comparing and contrasting the nine models with the end goal to select one that best fits this organizational situation.  In addition, include a title page and a reference page, APA format.   Each of the 12 – 15 pages should include notes with at least 150 – 200 words each on the notes section at the bottom of each slide.   The notes reflect comments that you will use for yourself when you present to management that back up your bulleted slides.   The PowerPoint slides that management will see will be a summary that you will talk to during the presentation. 

3.  The first half of your presentation will include the discussion of the nine models, and in the second half of your presentation, select the change model that you think is most appropriate for this process of getting your employees on board with the upcoming move.  Discuss the phases of the model you select and explain why it is most appropriate.   Use several slides to explain the steps this company should take using the recommended model and why they are important for success.   Move through the 12 month process.

 In a minimum of TWO-pages (not counting the title page and reference page) address the following:

  • Provide the name and location for the community resource and why you believe the resource would be beneficial to the client and/or family.

 Using the Sample Referral Form, complete at least three (3) referrals for the client and/or family. The only thing that I need completed on the referral form completed is the reason for the referral.
