Self-esteem in the work environment is crucial to the overall success of everyday business operations and functions for the employee and employer; therefore, it is important to identify healthy self-esteem development and how to overcome communication barriers. 

Create a PowerPoint presentation (minimum of 10 slides) on how to overcome communication barriers—verbal and nonverbal (identify and explain with supported data and illustrations). You must use at least two sources with one being the textbook. Be sure to cite any sources used in a reference slide with proper APA formatting. The cover and reference slides do not count toward the total slide requirement. Also, use the speaker notes function to explain the content in detail for each of the slides. 

Note: Keep in mind the 6×6 PowerPoint rule: slides should only include six to seven lines of content with no more than six to seven words per line. Also, illustrations should relate to the content being discussed—be creative.

Communication and media have changed a great deal in just the past decade. Take a moment to think about mass media and some of the ways it influences American culture. Now think how it has affected you personally. Consider the advertisements, news stories, and other media images and content you have encountered or interacted with today. Reflect on the overall effect of these media. Are these positive messages, negative messages, or do they have another effect?

Option #1: Strategy 4: Talent Pool

For this Module 4 Milestone assignment, create a framework for the people, assets, information, and time factors that are needed to create a desired labor pool. Provide the theoretical foundation and decision making that underpins the talent pool process.

This Milestone assignment should be no more than two pages in length (not including cover and reference pages), so focus on being clear and concise. Identify ethical dimensions of these practices and consider how risks associated with these might be mitigated.  This should be presented in a 2000 word essay.

 In  this assignment, you will use your textbook and the independent research you  conduct to determine the components of an effective compensation plan, one that  includes more than just base salary. 

Specifically, you will write a 4–6 page  paper in which you: Research  the components of an effective compensation plan.  Determine  the most beneficial ratio of internally consistent and market consistent  compensation systems.  

Be  sure your narrative is in your own words. Research  the methods companies use to assess employee satisfaction with their pay  structure.  Outline  how companies determine whether their employer-sponsored retirement plans and  health insurance programs are competitive.  Recommend  two high value discretionary benefits to employees. 

 Be  sure to include your rationale for selecting these high value discretionary  benefits as opposed to others. Integrate  at least three quality resources using in-text citations and a reference page in  your assignment.

1. You and your learning team members are HR consultants for Systems and Solutions HR Firm. You have been contracted by Premium Protect Plus Inc., an existing security system company. Due to the high volume of business, Premium Protect Plus Inc. is planning a massive expansion. This expansion will include new locations, the development of new departments, and more human capital. Premium Protect Plus Inc. is aware that this massive and rapid expansion will require the organization to conduct a strong evaluation of their current compensation and benefits system. Premium Protect Plus Inc. will need to develop a compensation and benefits plan, which will support their desire to attract, retain, and develop human capital that can support the vision and values of the organization.

   Your consulting firm has been asked to develop a compensation and benefits plan for the entire organization, with specific attention to the new departments and positions. Your team must develop a human resource business plan addressing compensation and benefits. You will present this plan to the CEO, CFO, public relations & marketing director, human resource manager, corporate recruiters, and some senior vice-presidents.
