MAP

Draw a social and community network. The social work term for this depiction is eco-map. Map out your friends, family, religious organizations, and other group memberships, work or school, and neighbors, and the resources they access in the community. You will be able to see how other members may be more engaged in their community. If you are isolated, you may gain ideas about how to “plugin” and get more engaged.

Week 6 D2

Research the topic of restrictions on termination of employment in European countries. Assess the different requirements and consider risks, operational requirements for MNCs, modified HRM policies, and any other conditions or restrictions facing a firm operating in such environments. Present your views in 200 words or more in your discussion post.

How to write a Expository prompt:

Expository Prompts

The purpose of expository writing is to inform, clarify, explain, define, and/or instruct. Sometimes this prompt type is referred to as evaluative, analytic, or reflective writing. The subtypes of problem and solution, cause and effect, and how-to essays also are grouped with this category of writing. Expository essays are typically guided by a purpose and with a specific audience in mind, where voice and organization align with subject and audience.

For expository prompts use the cue words: why, how, what, and explain.

  1. Look for the words “why, how, what, and explain” in the writing prompt for a expository prompt.
  2. Brainstorm about what the prompt is asking you to write about.
  3. Create a thesis statement. …
  4. Think of strong topic sentences that support your thesis statement.
  5. Compose the introduction for your essay.
  6. Write the body of the essay.
  7. Add your conclusion.

Responses should be written in 4-5 paragraph (minimum) form. If any sources other than the textbook for the course are used, they need to be cited in APA format. For quotes and paraphrased material from our textbook, simply include the parenthetical citation with the author and the applicable page number.

Every students posting is going to be different. After reading those pages you are writing about them as explained above.

Theory implementation highlights the situations you encounter that may necessitate the integration of other theories into your main theoretical orientation. Personal experiences, within your own past relationships, may sensitize or desensitize you to the relational issues presented by clients. The key, then, is recognizing the challenges to integrating theory and knowing how to mitigate these challenges in order to provide the best and most effective service to clients. However, always keep in mind that retaining professional integrity concerning your theoretical orientation is necessary.

To prepare for this Discussion, select one of the theories demonstrated in the videos this week (either Bowenian or structural) to use for this Discussion.

By Day 4

Post a brief description of your personal lens in treating couples and the theory you selected from the videos. Then, provide an explanation of one challenge you may encounter if you attempted to integrate the theory you selected with your lens of couples counseling in your professional practice. Then, explain how you might mitigate this challenge. Be specific.

Discussion: The Circular Supply Chain: Refurbishment and Recycling

The circular supply chain offers companies opportunities for new avenues of cash flow as well as infusing an added layer of sustainability into the chain. Closed-loop supply chain business models took the stage at a major trade show where presenters discussed a company that has been repairing, reselling, upcycling, and recycling since the 1970s.

Module 4: Week 1 Discussion Background Readings

Four Ways Reusables Benefit the Circular Economy (2019)

The Logistics of Liquidation (2019)

How to Mitigate the Impact of Product Recalls in Your Supply Chain (2019)

  • Explain how United-States-based companies support the circular supply chain.
  • Discuss tools in place to assist in the effort.
  • Using the resource beyond this week’s readings, provide a real-world example of how a U.S.-based company has been successful with its circular supply chain. (The article should be less than three years old.)

This post should be 2 paragraphs in length (at least 100 words). Since you are engaging in research, be sure to cite in the body of the post and add a reference list in APA format. One aspect of my life that I could benefit from the project management application, is planning. When doing most things, I tend to just jump right in to get things completed. I have that “by any means” mentality. If I am told to have something completed, I will get it completed with minimum planning. I rather trust my own instinct, than the process of a plan. Now I must admit, limited planning has its setbacks. If an issue comes up, with certain tasks, I might not be able to address them as quickly as I would like, which could lead to additional time needed. Different aspects of planning is something I’ve really enjoyed about this class. It is an aspect I want to get better at and incorporate more in my personal and work life.

Lesson 5: Teams and Leadership

Lesson 5: Teams and Leadership

Activity 5: Team Essay

Identify a team in which you have had many opportunities to participate, observe, and interact. This team does not necessarily need to be from industry; however, please review the concepts below that you will be required to discuss prior to selecting the team you wish to cover. The list of concepts may help you select or eliminate certain teams. The team you choose should have been in existence over a reasonable period in order for you to discuss team development and to have specific examples to support your conclusions.

If you have never personally participated in a team suited for this activity, you may select a team in which you were not a member and interview two (2) or more team members. In your interviews, you should focus on each of the concepts below that will then be developed into an essay. You should not simply ask, “What type of team is this?” because many people are not familiar with the terms you have learned in this course. Rather, you should ask more general questions such as, “Are each of the team members in the same department, or are they in different departments? Are all members in one location? Do team members meet in person, or is their communication only via e-mail, voicemail, or teleconferencing?”

After identifying a team, write an essay describing that team with the concepts presented in the text. The objective of your essay is to demonstrate that you understand the concepts and that you can apply them to a real-world situation; therefore, you should discuss/explain each of the following five (5) concepts and then relate your team to each concept using examples. Provide two (2) or three (3) examples for each concept.

1. Type of Team: functional team, cross-functional team, self-managed team, virtual team, or global team

2. Team members’ characteristics, including expertise and functional experience

3. Team culture and how it affects their ability to implement employee participation

4. Team challenges: developing groupthink, presence of free-riders, negativity, and lack of trust

5. Team leadership and how it affects employee participation

Your Activity responses should be both grammatically and mechanically correct, and formatted in the same fashion as the Activity itself. If there is a Part A, your response should identify a Part A, etc. In addition, you must appropriately cite all resources used in your response and document in a bibliography using APA style. (100 points) (A 4-page response is required.)
